The time-domain Cartesian multipole expansion of electromagnetic fields

open access: yesScientific Reports
Time-domain solutions of Maxwell’s equations in homogeneous and isotropic media are paramount to studying transient or broadband phenomena. However, analytical solutions are generally unavailable for practical applications, while numerical solutions are ...

Five semi analytical and numerical simulations for the fractional nonlinear space-time telegraph equation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
The accuracy of analytical obtained solutions of the fractional nonlinear space–time telegraph equation that has been constructed in (Hamed and Khater in J. Math., 2020) is checked through five recent semi-analytical and numerical techniques.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Semi-Analytical Closed-Form Solutions for Dynamical Rössler-Type System

open access: yesMathematics
Mathematical models and numerical simulations are necessary to understand the functions of biological rhythms, to comprehend the transition from simple to complex behavior and to delineate the conditions under which they arise. The aim of this work is to

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

New analytical and semi-analytical solutions for static deflection of composite beams

open access: yes, 2021
Anisotropic composite structures are widely used in aerospace, marine, civil, and biomedical areas of engineering due to their advantages, including excellent specific strength, resistance to fatigue and damage tolerance behaviour.

A Semi Analytical Study on Non-Linear Boundary Value Problem for MHD Fluid Flow with Chemical Effect [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Heat and Mass Transfer Research
The Runge-Kutta method combined with the shooting technique is used to solve the numerical results of the theoretical model for the electrically conducting micropolar fluid through two parallel plates in the presence of a heat source or sink and first ...

Multiple boundary peak solutions for some singularly perturbed Neumann problems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We consider the problem \left \{ \begin{array}{rcl} \varepsilon^2 \Delta u - u + f(u) = 0 & \mbox{ in }& \ \Omega\\ u > 0 \ \mbox{ in} \ \Omega, \ \frac{\partial u}{\partial \nu} = 0 & \mbox{ on }& \ \partial\Omega, \end{array} \right. where \
