Semi-Supervised and Class-Imbalanced Open Set Medical Image Recognition
Open set recognition (OSR) for medical images is vital to ensure practical safeguards in clinical applications. It demands establishing model awareness of rare and unknown conditions, rejecting what the model does not know, and thus preventing these ...

On a Class of Sets Via Grill : A Decomposition of Continuity
In the present article, a class of sets, called Ϟ-semiclosed sets, which is a subclass of the class of semi-closed sets of Levine [7], is introduced and studied in a grill topological space (X, τ, Ϟ), where Ϟ is a grill on X.

Encapsulins are protein nanocompartments that play an important role in iron storage. In the Myxococcus xanthus encapsulin system, two cargo proteins called EncB and EncC contribute to iron mineralization. Here, we show that EncB and EncC generate iron‐containing minerals with distinct chemical compositions, suggesting that the composition of stored ...

More on μ-semi-Lindelöf sets in μ-spaces
Sarsak [On μ\mu -compact sets in μ\mu -spaces, Questions Answers Gen. Topology 31 (2013), no. 1, 49–57] introduced and studied the class of μ\mu -Lindelöf sets in μ\mu -spaces. Mustafa [μ\mu -semi compactness and

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Almost α-γ-Irresolute Functions
functions called almost γ-irresolute functions and almost α-γirresolute functions in topological spaces. We obtain several characterizations of these classes and study their properties and investigate the relationships with the known non-continuous ...

This article introduces a mean set that is also semi-open. Such a set contains a non-void proper semi-open set and also contained in another proper semi-open set. We examine some properties of mean semi-open sets and also their complements. Furthermore, we investigate the behavior of such sets when they are also minimal and maximal.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Applications of fuzzy bitopological semi-open sets
The aim of this paper is to introduce and study the notions of fuzzy upper and lower \((i, j)\)-semilimit sets. Properties and basic relationships among fuzzy upper \((i, j)\)-semilimit set, fuzzy lower \((i, j)\)-semilimit set and fuzzy \((i, j)\)-semicontinuity are investigated.

Detecting circulating tumor cells (CTCs) in blood before surgery may help predict outcomes in patients with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). Here, we show when combined with tumor size and lymph node involvement from routine imaging, CTC status identifies high‐risk patients with poorer survival—offering a simple, minimally invasive tool ...
