Cyclohexanone semicarbazone and 4-tert-butylcyclohexanone semicarbazone

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1994
Cyclohexanone semicarbazone (CSC), C 7 H 13 N 3 O, and 4-tert-butyl-cyclohexanone (BCSC), C 11 H 21 N 3 O, each adopt a slightly distorted chair conformation, with an increase of the total puckering of the six-membered ring for BCSC. The two crystal structures are very similar, with the NHCONH 2 groups connected in infinite ribbons through O...H-N ...

Isatin 3-semicarbazone and 1-methylisatin 3-semicarbazone

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2005
The two title semicarbazones, namely 2,3-dihydro-1H-indole-2,3-dione 3-semicarbazone, C9H8N4O2, (I), and 1-methyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indole-2,3-dione 3-semicarbazone, C10H10N4O2, (II), show the same configuration, viz. Z around the imine C=N bond and E around the C(O)-NH2 bond, stabilized by two intramolecular hydrogen bonds. The presence of a methyl group

4-Acetamidocyclohexanone Semicarbazone Dihydrate

Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 1995
The cyclohexane ring of the title molecule, C 9 H 16 N 4 O 2 .-2H 2 O, adopts a slightly distorted chair conformation. The NHCONH 2 group has a conformation in which the C=O bond is trans with respect to the N-N bond. The molecules in the crystal are linked by hydrogen bonding involving the NHCONH 2 group, the acetamido group and the water molecules.

Semicarbazones and thiosemicarbazones, XII: Crystal structure of salicylaldehyde semicarbazone

Monatshefte fr Chemie Chemical Monthly, 1990
The crystal and molecular structure of salicylaldehyde semicarbazone was obtained by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The O atom of the semicarbazone fragment isanti to the N atom of the hydrazinic group. The distribution of bond lengths in the semicarbazone fragment indicates delocalization of the π-electrons.
