Polarographic determination of semicarbazones

Abstract Acetone, methyl isobutyl ketone, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, cyclohexanone, butyraldehyde, crotonaldehyde, and acrolein semicarbazones all give polarographic waves suitable for quantitative analysis in an acetate buffer at pH 4.6 .The half-wave potentials are —1.3, —1.3, —1.16 —1.05, —1.2,—1.11, —1.06,–0.99 V vs.
