Semiconductor disk laser in the nanosecond lasing mode
Physics of Wave Phenomena, 2017Pulse generation (pulse duration 370 to 34 ns) is obtained for the semiconductor disk laser optically pumped by the Cr:LiCAF laser beam. Dynamics of its lasing spectrum during the pump pulse is investigated. Generation pulse variations under the mismatch of the pump spot and the region of the main disk lasing mode are studied.

Tailoring the wavelength of semiconductor disk lasers
SPIE Proceedings, 2011Optically-pumped semiconductor disk lasers (SDLs) represent a proven approach for generation of multi-watt output powers with excellent beam quality [1-6]. They combine many advantages of solid-state lasers with the added benefit of wavelength tailoring provided by the semiconductor gain material.

Physical working principles of semiconductor disk lasers
Low Temperature Physics, 2007The physical working principles of whispering gallery mode semiconductor disk lasers are examined. A new method is proposed for measuring the single-pass gain. The theory of cylindrical waveguides is considered. The spectral characteristics of whispering gallery mode lasers is investigated experimentally in the temperature range 4–300K.

Advances in mode-locked semiconductor disk lasers
SPIE Proceedings, 2013NonLinear Microscopy techniques, such as Two-Photon Excited Fluorescence and Second Harmonic Generation provide advantages over conventional Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy. A key element in a NonLinear Microscope is an ultrafast laser which produces short pulses with the high intensities needed for exciting nonlinear processes.
