Phase Engineering of Atomically Precise Nanoclusters (APNCs) of Gold and Beyond
Engineering the structural phase of materials is of paramount importance for both fundamental research and practical applications. In this Review, we summarize the recent progress in controlling the phases of atomically precise nanoclusters (APNCs) of gold, silver and copper, as well as bimetallic systems. The phase‐enabled material properties of APNCs

High-power 970 nm semiconductor disk laser
Semiconductor disk lasers (SDLs) have emerged at the frontier of laser technologies. Here, the chip design, packaging process, resonator, pumping strategy, etc. are optimized for the performance improvement of a 970 nm SDL. After optimization, a power of 70.3 W is attained under continuous wave (CW) operation, and the corresponding thermal resistance ...

Tunable Quasi‐Resonances in Polypyrrole Nanodisks
Polaronic carrier absorption enables electrochemically switchable quasi‐resonances in conducting polymer nanoantennas. ABSTRACT Redox‐tunable conducting polymers have emerged as promising materials for dynamic plasmonics and metasurfaces. However, only a few conducting polymers with particularly high conductivities (>1000 S/cm) have been reported to ...

Germanium (Ge) all‐dielectric metasurfaces can be leveraged to strongly enhance the radiative emission from Ge layers grown on silicon‐on‐insulator substrates by industry‐standard processes. At room‐temperature, the narrowband photoluminescence (PL) intensity is enhanced by a factor ∼40× with respect to unstructured films.

Polymorphic Superparaelectric Engineering Boosting Energy Storage Capacity in BaTiO3‐Based Ceramics
Herein, Ca2+ incorporation promotes the coexistence of CaTiO3‐/BaTiO3‐derived paraferroelectric states, stabilizing cubic‐orthorhombic‐tetragonal polymorphic superparaelectric phases. This minimizes polarization energy barriers, facilitating full polarization saturation without compromising efficiency.
