Sirolimus for Extracranial Arteriovenous Malformations: A Scoping Review of the Evidence in Syndromic and Non‐Syndromic Cases

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

APPLICATION OF TIME-PULSE CONVERSION IN TEMPERATURE SENSORS WITH SEMICONDUCTOR SENSITIVE ELEMENT

open access: yesИзмерение, мониторинг, управление, контроль, 2022
Background. Taking into account the temperature of the object by autonomous information and control systems increases the accuracy of their work. The temperature sensors used have an analog output (voltage), which requires conversion to a form suitable

Photocathodes for a post-processed imaging array [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Preliminary results of a photon detector combining a Micromegas like multiplier coated with a UV-sensitive CsI photocathode are described. The multiplier is made in the CMOS compatible InGrid technology, which allows to post-process it directly on the ...

The Elements of the Neutrino Mass Matrix: Allowed Ranges and Implications of Texture Zeros

open access: yes, 2006
We study the range of the elements of the neutrino mass matrix m_nu in the charged lepton basis. Neutrino-less double beta decay is sensitive to the ee element of m_nu. We then analyze the phenomenological implications of single texture zeros.

Extracellular stimulation window explained by a geometry-based model of the neuron-electrode contact [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Extracellular stimulation of single cultured neurons which are completely sealing a microelectrode is usually performed using anodic or biphasic currents of at least 200 nA.

Evaluating the Utility of Paired Tumor and Germline Targeted DNA Sequencing for Pediatric Oncology Patients: A Single Institution Report

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield and utility of universal paired tumor–normal multigene panel sequencing in newly diagnosed pediatric solid and central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients and to compare the detection of germline pathogenic/likely pathogenic variants (PV/LPVs) against established clinical referral criteria for cancer ...

The Study of the Structure Based on the Array of ZnO-Nanorods as a Sensor of the Gas Flow Rate

open access: yesProceedings, 2020
This work shows the possibility of using arrays of ZnO nanorods grown on a glass substrate as a sensitive element for measuring air flow velocity. Since oxide semiconductors have a temperature dependence of resistance, a theoretical and experimental ...

Ferrofluidic sensitive element in fiber optics

open access: yesSuplemento de la Revista Mexicana de Física, 2021
This article discusses problems related to the use of ferrofluid, infiltrated in a microstructured optical fiber and controlled by an external magnetic field. It summarizes the results obtained by the authors on a fiber filled with this substance and subjected to harmonic or impulse field action.
