Time-varying delays in electrophysiological wave propagation along cardiac tissue and minimax control problems associated with uncertain bidomain type models

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics, 2019
Motivated by topics and issues critical to human health, the problem studied in this work derives from the modeling and stabilizing control of electrical cardiac activity in order to maximize the efficiency and safety of treatment for cardiac disease ...

A novel hybrid fractional approach to nonlinear dynamics of HIV transmission among men who have sex with men in Taiwan

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In Taiwan, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) transmission occurs primarily among men who have sex with men (MSM). High-risk behaviors within this population contribute significantly to the variability and spread of the virus.

Numerical simulation of a fractional glucose-insulin model via successive approximation and ABM schemes

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
We developed a fractional-order glucose–insulin regulatory model in the Caputo sense to encode memory effects in metabolic dynamics. The three-equation nonlinear system employed component-wise fractional orders to represent heterogeneous memory depths ...

Pupil Plane Multiplexing for Vectorial Fourier Ptychography

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
This study proposes a cost‐effective, modality‐adaptive multichannel microscopy framework using pupil‐plane multiplexing. A custom pupil aperture at the Fourier plane encodes channel‐specific transfer functions with spectral or polarization filters, and model‐based reconstruction with channel‐dependent priors decodes them.

Toward Super‐Resolution Reconstruction of Diffusion–Relaxation MRI Using Slice Excitation With Random Overlap (SERO)

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Diffusion MRI probes tissue microstructure, but low SNR and limited resolution hinder detection of features and parameter estimates. We introduce slice excitation with random overlap (SERO), which enables variable repetition times (TRs) and diffusion weighting within a single shot.

Insights into mathematical model with efficient control measures for lumpy skin disease of cattle considering the presence of contaminated environment

open access: yesJournal of Biological Dynamics
In this paper, we introduce a mathematical simulation that captures the dynamics of lumpy skin disease (LSD) by considering three key transmission paths: vector-borne, direct cattle-to-cattle contact and environmental contamination.

Qualitative and sensitivity analysis on simple epidemic model (SIR-MODEL): ensuring well-posedness and stability

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Sciences and Computational Intelligence
This study investigates the dynamics of infectious disease transmission using an SIR (Susceptible-Infected-Recovered) model. We examine the model’s positivity, equilibrium points, basic reproduction number using the next generation matrix method, and sensitivity to key parameters using the sensitivity index method.

Macroscopic Market Making Games

open access: yesMathematical Finance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Building on the macroscopic market making framework as a control problem, this paper investigates its extension to stochastic games. In the context of price competition, each agent is benchmarked against the best quote offered by the others. We begin with the linear case.

Accelerated Diffusion Basis Spectrum Imaging With Tensor Computations

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 2, February 1, 2026.
We introduce a new framework for accelerated processing of diffusion‐weighted imaging (DWI) data using a machine learning approach to optimize parameter estimation. We demonstrate that this new method, called DBSIpy, significantly improves computational speed and robustness to Rician noise compared to the standard DBSI method, with the improvements ...

Ill-posedness in limited discrete Fourier inversion and regularization for quasi distributions in LaMET

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We systematically investigated the limited inverse discrete Fourier transform of the quasi distributions from the perspective of inverse problem theory. This transformation satisfies two of Hadamard’s well-posedness criteria, existence and uniqueness of ...
