Magnetic crack-based piezoinductive mechanical sensors: way to extreme robustness and ultra-sensitivity

open access: yesNature Communications
Soft mechanical sensors with high performance, mechanical robustness, and manufacturing reproducibility are crucial for robotics perception, but simultaneously satisfying these criteria is rarely achieved.

High Temperature and Vibration Robustness All-Fiber Current Sensor With a Fiber-Loop Architecture and Reflection Scheme

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2017
Low current sensitivity and insufficient system robustness are two significant obstacles preventing widespread use of all-fiber current sensors (AFCSs). We demonstrate a novel AFCS combining a fiber-loop architecture and a reflection scheme.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Adaptive Pruning with Module Robustness Sensitivity: Balancing Compression and Robustness

open access: yes
Neural network pruning has traditionally focused on weight-based criteria to achieve model compression, frequently overlooking the crucial balance between adversarial robustness and accuracy.

ESR1 methylation and ESR1 mutations in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and paired plasma‐cfDNA of advanced breast cancer patients: A feasibility proof‐of‐concept study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Robustness versus efficiency for nonparametric correlation measures. [PDF]

open access: yes
Nonparametric correlation measures at the Kendall and Spearman correlation are widely used in the behavioral sciences. These measures are often said to be robust, in the sense of being resistant to outlying observations.

Isoseparation and robustness in finite parameter Bayesian inference [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Under a new family of separations the distance between two posterior densities is the same as the distance between their prior densities whatever the observed likelihood when that likelihood is strictly positive.
