In this paper, I argue that there are good motivations for a relativist account of the domain-sensitivity of quantifier phrases. I will frame the problem as a puzzle involving what looks like a logically valid inference, yet one whose premises are true while the conclusion is false. After discussing some existing accounts, literalist and contextualist,

In prostate carcinoma, lactic acid, secreted by highly glycolytic cancer‐associated fibroblasts, is imported into tumor cells through the MCT1 transporter and prevents RSL3 and erastin‐induced ferroptosis (A). Targeting of carbonic anhydrase IX/XII, the main extracellular pH regulators, in tumor and stromal cells reduces microenvironmental acidosis and

The role of circular RNAs in regulating cytokine signaling in cancer
Cytokines present in the tumor microenvironment fuel cancer development. Aberrant expression of circRNAs contributes to cancer progression. Cytokines are involved in regulating circRNA biogenesis. Furthermore, aberrantly expressed circRNAs regulate the expression of ligands, receptors, and downstream effectors involved in cytokine signaling to promote ...

On Block Sensitivity and Fractional Block Sensitivity [PDF]
We investigate the relation between the block sensitivity $\text{bs}(f)$ and fractional block sensitivity $\text{fbs}(f)$ complexity measures of Boolean functions. While it is known that $\text{fbs}(f) = O(\text{bs}(f)^2)$, the best known separation achieves $\text{fbs}(f) = \left(\frac{1}{3\sqrt2} +o(1)\right) \text{bs(f)}^{3/2}$.

Phenotypic plasticity in a newly established set of EGFR inhibitor‐adapted NSCLC cell lines during adaptation and in established cell lines. Here, we introduce novel sublines of the EGFR‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines HCC827 and HCC4006 adapted to the EGFR kinase inhibitors gefitinib (HCC827rGEFI2μm, HCC4006rGEFI1μm), erlotinib ...

Molecular and cellular dynamics of the Toll-like receptor 4 pathway.
As well as being the primary signaling receptor for bacterial endotoxin or lipopolysaccharide Toll-like receptor 4 function is modulated by numerous factors not only in the context of microbial pathogenesis but also autoimmune and allergic diseases. TLR4

Molecular profile of sensitization in subjects with short occupational exposure to latex [PDF]
Objectives: We examined the prevalence of latex allergy in subjects with occupational exposure to latex allergens for less than 5 years, determining the disease spectrum in symptomatic workers.
