Bandit Structured Prediction for Neural Sequence-to-Sequence Learning

open access: yes, 2017
Bandit structured prediction describes a stochastic optimization framework where learning is performed from partial feedback. This feedback is received in the form of a task loss evaluation to a predicted output structure, without having access to gold ...

Molecular and immunological characterization of Hyalomma dromedarii and Hyalomma excavatum (Acari: Ixodidae) vectors of Q fever in camels [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary World, 2018
Background and Aim: Q fever Coxiella burnetii is a worldwide zoonotic disease, and C. burnetii was detected in mammals and ticks. Ticks play an important role in the spread of C. burnetii in the environment.

First Case of a COVID-19 Patient Infected by Delta AY.4 with a Rare Deletion Leading to a N Gene Target Failure by a Specific Real Time PCR Assay: Novel Omicron VOC Might Be Doing Similar Scenario?

open access: yesMicroorganisms, 2022
Herein, we report a case of an Italian male infected by Delta sublineage AY.4 harboring an atypical deletion, leading to a N gene target failure (NGTF) by a commercial molecular assay for SARS-CoV-2 diagnosis (AllplexTM SARS-CoV-2 Assay, Seegene).

Potter′s sequence

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Neonatology, 2012
Potter's sequence is a rare fatal disorder that occurs in sporadic and autosomal recessive forms with an incidence of 1 in 4000 births. Babies born with this condition are either still born or die very early within the neonatal period. We report a case of Potter's sequence with the typical physical findings and histological findings.

Heparin sequencing [PDF]

open access: yesGlycobiology, 2002
Heparin is a highly sulfated glycosaminoglycan widely used as an anticoagulant. Modifications in its relatively uniform structure appear to be key to its recognition and modulation of serine proteases, growth factors, chemokines, and extracellular proteins, as has been most clearly demonstrated in the antithrombin binding site.

Analysis of the Sequences, Structures, and Functions of Product-Releasing Enzyme Domains in Fungal Polyketide Synthases

open access: yesFrontiers in Microbiology, 2017
Product-releasing enzyme (PRE) domains in fungal non-reducing polyketide synthases (NR-PKSs) play a crucial role in catalysis and editing during polyketide biosynthesis, especially accelerating final biosynthetic reactions accompanied with product ...

STAR FORMATION IN GALAXIES ALONG THE HUBBLE SEQUENCE [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Observations of star formation rates (SFRs) in galaxies provide vital clues to the physical nature of the Hubble sequence and are key probes of the evolutionary histories of galaxies.

Stressful Events Reported by Childhood Cancer Survivors and Community Controls From the St. Jude Lifetime (SJLIFE) Cohort: A Mixed Method Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Characterizing stressful events reported by childhood cancer survivors experienced throughout the lifespan may help improve trauma‐informed care relevant to the survivor experience. Methods Participants included 2552 survivors (54% female; 34 years of age) and 469 community controls (62% female; 33 years of age) from the St.

Trimmomatic: a flexible trimmer for Illumina sequence data

open access: yesBioinform., 2014
Motivation: Although many next-generation sequencing (NGS) read preprocessing tools already existed, we could not find any tool or combination of tools that met our requirements in terms of flexibility, correct handling of paired-end data and high ...
