Optimal Kalman Estimation of Symmetrical Sequence Components

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2020
This article reexamines the problem of estimating symmetrical sequence components, more specifically, the optimal estimation of the magnitude and phases of sequence components. We first address and compare different setups for the optimal Kalman filter, including those that make use of three-phase measurements and those where the measurements are ...

Principal component coding of mouth sequences

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 1993
Facial features of a videophone image sequence are coded using the traditional technique of principal components (PCs). One of the main advantages of this method is that it makes use of a large a priori knowledge of the images and exploits the correlation between pixel values.

Components for a sequence processing neural network

IJCNN'99. International Joint Conference on Neural Networks. Proceedings (Cat. No.99CH36339), 2003
Describes the extension of an artificial neural network for sequence modeling and recall. This basic system learns an initial data set which it uses as an exemplar for later sequence processing. This system is designed to take full advantage of the features common to artificial neural networks. The extension to this system removes a limitation found in

Optimal Production Sequence for a Product with Matching Components

Operations Research, 1994
In the manufacture of mechanical heart valves, very high precision manufacturing and quality control is an absolute necessity. Since a mechanical heart valve consists of a number of components, it is imperative that the components match precisely.

INDEPENDENT COMPONENT ANALYSIS SEPARATES SEQUENCE-SENSITIVE ERP COMPONENTS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2004
Human performance is strongly influenced by the sequence of events. Decreasing the response-stimulus interval (RSI) between events qualitatively changes these so-called sequential effects. Using event-related brain potentials (ERPs) to detect electrical brain activity related to sequential patterns helps to uncover mechanisms underlying the observed ...

Compensation of Negative Sequence Component using sequence parameters

2014 International Conference on Circuits, Power and Computing Technologies [ICCPCT-2014], 2014
Current unbalance is frequently encountered power quality problem. Negative sequence current leads to increase in machine temperature and unnecessary tripping of circuit breakers. Unequal phase current and harmonic current causes increased line losses and skin effect.

P-component of amyloid: Amino-terminal sequence

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1973
Abstract A homogeneous preparation of P-component has been isolated from human splenic amyloid. Twenty-three residues of the amino-terminal sequence of this unique protein have been determined. The sequence is not that of an immunoglobulin and does not correspond to the sequence of any previously reported protein.
