Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1A1 (ALDH1A1) is a cancer stem cell marker in several malignancies. We established a novel epithelial cell line from rectal adenocarcinoma with unique overexpression of this enzyme. Genetic attenuation of ALDH1A1 led to increased invasive capacity and metastatic potential, the inhibition of proliferation activity, and ultimately ...

Targeted modulation of IGFL2‐AS1 reveals its translational potential in cervical adenocarcinoma
Cervical adenocarcinoma patients face worse outcomes than squamous cell carcinoma counterparts despite similar treatment. The identification of IGFL2‐AS1's differential expression provides a molecular basis for distinguishing these histotypes, paving the way for personalized therapies and improved survival in vulnerable populations globally.

Optimized design of electric shovel working device structure based on BLISCO framework
In order to find a design solution that meets all the performance requirements while enabling the minimal trade-offs between different objectives, the bi-level integrated system collaborative optization (BLISCO) method based on approximate models is ...

Hyperparameter optimization with approximate gradient
Most models in machine learning contain at least one hyperparameter to control for model complexity. Choosing an appropriate set of hyperparameters is both crucial in terms of model accuracy and computationally challenging.

Model predictive control for unprotected left-turn based on sequential convex programming
In autonomous driving, an unprotected left turn is a highly challenging scenario. It refers to the situation where there is no dedicated traffic signal controlling the left turns; instead, left-turning vehicles rely on the same traffic signal as the ...

Nearly Linear-Work Algorithms for Mixed Packing/Covering and Facility-Location Linear Programs
We describe the first nearly linear-time approximation algorithms for explicitly given mixed packing/covering linear programs, and for (non-metric) fractional facility location.

LIGHTWEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE B PILLAR BASED ON SIX SIGMA ROBUST DESIGN UNDER SIDE IMPACT
Robust design is an effective way to improve the reliability of structure and crash safety by considering uncertainty in vehicle design. In the traditional optimization design of vehicle body, due to ignoring of uncertainty factors, such as processing ...
