Serotyping of Vibrio anguillarum [PDF]
A serotyping scheme based on the detection of O antigens by slide agglutination in fish-pathogenic strains of Vibrio anguillarum is presented. Over a period of 5 years 270 Vibrio strains from feral and cultured fish, 189 strains from the environment, and 36 strains from invertebrates were collected.

The butterfly unfolded wing in an open form structure of botulinum neurotoxin type A (BoNT/A) at physiological‐state was confirmed at 2.85 Å resolution by cryo‐electron microscopy (cryo‐EM). Structure‐guided protein engineering significantly enhanced the receptor‐binding affinity, therapeutic efficacy, and safety of the engineered toxin variants ...

This study reveals that abnormal mechanical stress downregulates the expression of HSP70 and impairs proteasome function in osteoarthritic bone cells, leading to misfolded collagen I accumulation and ER stress. When intracellular proteostasis capacity is exceeded, USP19 mediates the secretion of misfolded proteins into the extracellular space ...

Epizootiološko istraživanje slinavke i šapa u Sudanu: stanje nakon dva desetljeća [PDF]
In order to update information on the situation regarding foot and mouth disease (FMD) in the Sudan, a serosurvey and disease survey were conducted. Recently collected data on FMD in the Sudan showed that FMD is a major constraint to animal production in

Serotypes of Candida albicans [PDF]
THE classification of Candida albicans into two serological groups on the basis of agglutination tests was first reported by Hasenclever and Mitchell1, and both in the original and subsequent papers2–4 these authors and their colleagues referred to group A and group B strains.

This study aims to evaluate the impact of the potassium channel KCNJ2 on asthma development. KCNJ2 promotes NLRP3 inflammasome activation through both Ca2+ influx and K+ efflux in airway epithelial cells, which drives allergic airway inflammation and remodeling, suggesting a promising therapeutic target for asthma.

Circumventing antivector immunity: potential use of nonhuman adenoviral vectors [PDF]
Adenoviruses are efficient gene delivery vectors based on their ability to transduce a wide variety of cell types and drive high-level transient transgene expression. While there have been advances in modifying human adenoviral (HAdV) vectors to increase
