Structure of the O-chain of the lipopolysaccharide of Pasteurella haemolytica serotype T3

Cell-wall lipopolysaccharide isolated from Pasteurella haemolytica serotype T3 using the phenol–water extraction procedure was shown to be an S type lipopolysaccharide by sodium dodecyl sulphate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. Hydrolysis with mild acid afforded a lipid-free, antigenic O-chain polysaccharide.
