Data on binding of L-tryptophan and bovine serum albumin by novel gold nanoparticles capped with amphiphilic sulfonatomethylated calixresorcinarenes

open access: yesData in Brief, 2019
The data provided in this paper are associated with the data in the «Binding of L-tryptophan and bovine serum albumin by novel gold nanoparticles capped with amphiphilic sulfonatomethylated calixresorcinarenes» paper (Shalaeva et al., 2019).

Affinity Separation of Lectins Using Porous Membranes Immobilized with Glycopolymer Brushes Containing Mannose or N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine

open access: yesMembranes, 2013
Porous membranes with glycopolymer brushes were prepared as biomaterials for affinity separation. Glycopolymer brushes contained acrylic acid and D-mannose or N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, and were formed on substrates by surface-initiated atom transfer ...

Endogenous mammalian lectin localized extracellularly in lung elastic fibers. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
An affinity-purified antibody preparation raised against a beta-galactoside-binding lectin from bovine lung was used to localize a similar lectin in rat lung by immunofluorescence and by electron microscopy after on-grid staining visualized with ...

On‐treatment dynamics of circulating extracellular vesicles in the first‐line setting of patients with advanced non‐small cell lung cancer: the LEXOVE prospective study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 19, Issue 5, Page 1422-1435, May 2025.
The LEXOVE prospective study evaluated plasma cell‐free extracellular vesicle (cfEV) dynamics using Bradford assay and dynamic light scattering in metastatic non‐small cell lung cancer patients undergoing first‐line treatments, correlating a ∆cfEV < 20% with improved median progression‐free survival in responders versus non‐responders.

An alternative approach to the osmotic second virial coefficient of protein solutions and its application to liquid liquid phase separation [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2023, 158.16
The osmotic second virial coefficient B2 is an important parameter to describe the interactions and phase behavior of protein solutions, including colloidal systems and macromolecular solutions. Another key parameter to describe the driving force of the nucleation of a new phase is the supersaturation, which is used in the classical nucleation theory ...

Cavity optomechanical transduction sensing of single molecules [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We report narrow linewidth optomechanical oscillation of a silica microsphere immersed in a buffer solution. Through a novel optomechanical transduction sensing approach, single 10-nm-radius silica beads and Bovine serum albumin (BSA) protein molecules with a molecular weight of 66 kDalton were detected.

Concentration Dependence of Elastic and Viscoelastic Properties of Aqueous Solutions of Ficoll and Bovine Serum Albumin by Brillouin Light Scattering Spectroscopy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
The cellular environment is crowded with macromolecules of different shapes and sizes. The effect of this macromolecular crowding has been studied in a variety of synthetic crowding environments: two popular examples are the compact colloid-like Ficoll macromolecule, and the globular protein bovine serum albumin (BSA).

Influence of proteins from physiological solutions on the electrochemical behaviour of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy: reproducibility and time-frequency dependence. ---- Influence de la teneur en protéines de solutions physiologiques sur le comportement électrochimique du Ti-6Al-4V : reproductibilité et représentation temps-fréquence [PDF]

open access: yesMat\'eriaux & Techniques 98, 1 (2010) 59-68, 2010
The electrochemical behaviour of the biomedical and metallic alloys, especially in the orthopaedic implants fields, raises many questions. This study is dedicated for studying the Ti-6Al-4V alloy, by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, EIS, in various physiological media,: Ringer solution, phosphate buffered solution (PBS), PBS solution and albumin,

Binding of Oxovanadium(IV) Complexes to Blood Serum Albumins [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this work the binding of VIVO2+ and VIVO-complexes to serum albumins {human serum albumin (HSA), bovine serum albumin (BSA) and porcine serum albumin (PSA)} are studied using circular dichroism (CD), electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) and ...

Doxorubicin-Loaded Human Serum Albumin Submicron Particles: Preparation, Characterization and In Vitro Cellular Uptake [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Doxorubicin (DOX) is an effective anthracycline antibiotic drug which is commonly used in a broad range cancer therapy. However, due to dose depending side effects and toxicity to non-cancerous tissues, its clinical applications are restricted.
