Interactions of Boron Clusters and their Derivatives with Serum Albumin
Boron clusters are polyhedral boron hydrides with unique properties, and they are becoming increasingly widely used in biology and medicine, including for boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) of cancers and in the design of novel bioactive molecules and ...

Kadar Albumin Serum dan Faal Ginjal Anak [PDF]
Serum albumin concentration (Sa) is one of the determinants of single nephron glomerular filtration rate. Hypoalbuminemia is frequently encountered in our country due to protein calory malnutrition, liver function disorders and others. The renal function

Serum albumin levels and economic status in Japanese older adults [PDF]
Background: Low serum albumin levels are associated with aging and medical conditions such as cancer, liver dysfunction, inflammation, and malnutrition and might be an independent predictor of long-term mortality in healthy older populations.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

B‐cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia (B‐CLL) and monoclonal B‐cell lymphocytosis (MBL) show altered proteomes and phosphoproteomes, analyzed using mass spectrometry, protein microarrays, and western blotting. Identifying 2970 proteins and 316 phosphoproteins, including 55 novel phosphopeptides, we reveal BCR and NF‐kβ/STAT3 signaling in disease ...

Potential Role of Amino Acid/Protein Nutrition and Exercise in Serum Albumin Redox State
Albumin is the major protein in the serum of mammals. It is synthesized exclusively in the liver, before being secreted into the circulation. Similar to skeletal muscle protein, albumin synthesis is stimulated by dietary amino acids and proteins as well ...

Determination of ADP/ATP translocase isoform ratios in malignancy and cellular senescence
The individual functions of three isoforms exchanging ADP and ATP (ADP/ATP translocases; ANTs) on the mitochondrial membrane remain unclear. We developed a method for quantitatively differentiating highly similar human ANT1, ANT2, and ANT3 using parallel reaction monitoring. This method allowed us to assess changes in translocase levels during cellular
