The Association Between Serum Uric Acid Levels and the Risk of Cognitive Dysfunction in Patients With Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesInternational Journal of Endocrinology
Patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) are linked to an increased risk of cognitive dysfunction, and serum uric acid levels play an important factor in cognitive dysfunction. However, the optimal serum uric acid level in patients with AF remains unclear.

Multi‐Technique Integration Identifies O‐GlcNAc Transferase in Fibroblast‐Like Synoviocytes as a Therapeutic Target for Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AI‑guided single‑cell transcriptomics identifies OGT as a key regulator enriched in rheumatoid arthritis fibroblast‑like synoviocytes (RA‐FLSs). Inflammatory stimuli activate the OGT–SAP130 axis, which modulates the H3K27ac/H3K27me3 balance and epigenetically silences BTG2, promoting aggressive transformation of RA‑FLSs.

The GPX3‐VCAM1 Axis Gates Pro‐Fibrotic Tubule Cell Fate in Hyperuricemic Nephropathy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperuricemia induces NLRP3 inflammasome signaling activation and downregulation of GPX3 in proximal tubular epithelial cells, leading to oxidative stress–driven VCAM1 upregulation, emergence of pro‐fibrotic proximal tubule cells, macrophage recruitment, and renal fibrosis.

Serum uric acid did not affect embryonic and pregnancy outcomes in women without PCOS during IVF procedures

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
ObjectivesSerum uric acid (UA) levels are associated with many systemic diseases. A previous study confirmed the association between high serum uric acid levels and poor prognosis of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment in polycystic ovary syndrome ...

High uric acid level increases the risk of acute kidney injury in acute coronary syndrome patients

open access: yesCaspian Journal of Internal Medicine, 2021
Background: Both clinical and experimental evidence have been published over the past few decades supporting the existence of a close relationship between the elevated levels of serum uric acid with cardiovascular events and acute kidney injury (AKI ...

Collagen‐Binding IL‐15 Immunocytokine Armed Oncolytic Adenovirus Establishes a Self‐Reinforcing Immunostimulatory Milieu to Potentiate Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Repurposing the dense tumor stroma from a physical barrier into an anchoring scaffold, an engineered oncolytic adenovirus encoding IL15C‐CBD overcomes the immunosuppressive microenvironment in triple‐negative breast cancer. Intratumoral viral replication secretes this collagen‐anchored immunocytokine, forming a localized cytokine depot.

Magneto‐Sono‐Enhanced Nanozyme Catalysis Drives ROS‐Mediated Pathogen Killing and Mitophagy‐Linked Inflammation Control in Bacterial Pneumonia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nebulized BN@NF nanozymes integrate boron nanosheets with Nd‐doped iron phosphide to form a sono‐magneto‐responsive Z‐scheme heterostructure. Under ultrasound and magnetic activation, BN@NF amplifies ROS generation, eradicates bacteria, disrupts biofilms, and reshapes pulmonary inflammation through NF‐κB suppression, mitophagy promotion, and M1‐to‐M2 ...
