Sonogenetic Control of Engineered Probiotics for the Treatment of MASH by Modulating the Gut‐Liver Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Researchers developed an engineered probiotic encapsulated in an inulin hydrogel, enabling ultrasound‐triggered intestinal delivery of IL‐22. In MASH model mice, this system remodeled gut microbiota, strengthened the intestinal barrier and reduced portal LPS and hepatic IL‐6.

Dietary Sodium Modifies Serum Uric Acid Concentrations in Humans

open access: yes, 2017
Subjects with hypertension are frequently obese or insulin resistant, both conditions in which hyperuricemia is common. Obese and insulin-resistant subjects are also known to have blood pressure that is more sensitive to changes in dietary sodium intake.

Oral Astilbin Nanogels Modulate Senescence‐Associated CD4+ T Cells and Promote Treg Induction in Aged Mice with Colitis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fluorinated β‐glucan/pectin nanogels enable colon‐targeted oral delivery of astilbin through gastrointestinal protection, β‐glucanase‐responsive release, mucus penetration, and prolonged retention. The released astilbin attenuates senescence‐associated features of CD4+ T cells and promotes Treg responses, while the nanogel matrix modulates the gut ...

Bioengineered Stroma‐Camouflaged Nanovesicles Disrupt the IDO1/CD276 Immunosuppressive Circuit to Reinvigorate Antitumor Immunity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bioengineered stroma‐camouflaged nanovesicles (AM@UIO‐BMS/DOX) convert the immunosuppressive tumor niche into an immunoresponsive milieu by disrupting the IDO1/CD276 circuit. Anti‐CD276 membrane camouflage guides tumor accumulation and deep penetration, enabling controlled co‐delivery of DOX and the IDO1 inhibitor BMS‐986205.
