Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Prioritized Linguistic Interval-Valued Aggregation Operators and Their Applications in Group Decision-Making Problems

open access: yesMathematics, 2018
The linguistic interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy (LIVIF) set is an efficient tool to represent data in the form of interval membership degrees in a qualitative rather than a quantitative manner.

Partial Smoothness, Subdifferentials and Set-valued Operators

open access: yes
Over the past decades, the concept "partial smoothness" has been playing as a powerful tool in several fields involving nonsmooth analysis, such as nonsmooth optimization, inverse problems and operation research, etc. The essence of partial smoothness is that it builds an elegant connection between the optimization variable and the objective function ...

On uniformly continuous Nemytskij operators generated by set-valued functions [PDF]

open access: yesAequationes mathematicae, 2010
The properties of superposition operators generated by set-valued functions are studied. The main result is the following. Theorem. Let \(I = [0, 1]\) and \(Y\) be a real normed linear space, \(Z\) be a Banach space and let \(C\) be a convex cone in \(Y\). Assume that \(\gamma: [0, \infty) \rightarrow [0, \infty)\) is continuous at \(0\), \(\gamma(0) =

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Bregman Distance and Strong Convergence of Proximal-Type Algorithms

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
The purpose of this paper is to discuss some fundamental properties of Bregman distance, generalized projection operators, firmly nonexpansive mappings, and resolvent operators of set-valued monotone operators corresponding to a functional Φ(∥·∥).

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).

Topological Degree for Operators of Class (S)+ with Set-Valued Perturbations and Its New Applications

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
We investigate the topological degree for generalized monotone operators of class (S)+ with compact set-valued perturbations. It is assumed that perturbations can be represented as the composition of a continuous single-valued mapping and an upper ...

Probabilistic Interval-Valued Hesitant Fuzzy Information Aggregation Operators and Their Application to Multi-Attribute Decision Making

open access: yesAlgorithms, 2018
Based on the probabilistic interval-valued hesitant fuzzy information aggregation operators, this paper investigates a novel multi-attribute group decision making (MAGDM) model to address the serious loss of information in a hesitant fuzzy information ...

CDK11 inhibition induces cytoplasmic p21WAF1 splice variant by p53 stabilisation and SF3B1 inactivation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.
