Application of genetic algorithm for the set-covering problem solution
The weighed and unweighted minimal set-cover problem, its applicability for the solution of the major optimization practical tasks, such as arrangement of service points, assignment of crews in transport, as well as the integrated-circuit and conveyer ...

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Randomized Algorithms and Neural Networks for Communication-Free Multiagent Singleton Set Cover
This paper considers how a system designer can program a team of autonomous agents to coordinate with one another such that each agent selects (or covers) an individual resource with the goal that all agents collectively cover the maximum number of ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

A multi-scale approach for retrieving proportional cover of life forms
This study presents a multi-scale procedure to derive continuous proportional cover of woody vegetation in savanna ecosystems. QuickBird data was classified to define a continuous training and validation data set of woody cover proportions.

Verbal sets and cyclic coverings
In [Proc. Lond. Math. Soc., III. Ser. 14, 321-341 (1964; Zbl 0122.26906)] \textit{R. F. Turner-Smith} wrote a classic contribution on a problem of P. Hall, dealing with the finiteness of the verbal subgroup \(w(G)\) of an arbitrary word \(w\) in \(n\) variables over an arbitrary group \(G\).

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Interrogating the immune landscape of microsatellite stable RAS‐mutated colon cancer
COLOSSUS project RAS‐mutated MSS colon cancer study explored transcriptomics and immune cell density by immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunoscore (IS), ISIC/TuLIS scores, mutation counts, and detected different prevalences but similar microenvironment composition across immune markers with clinical relevance for future immunotherapy combination ...

Reduction of acoustic mode in noise-proof cover with interference wave inducing apertures
To improve the noise proof performance of a cover with apertures, the occurrence of the inner acoustic mode at lower frequencies must be prevented. To do this, the authors propose an interference wave inducing aperture.
