This study found that aging‐related cognitive impairment is accompanied by hippocampal microglial senescence. Ghrelin suppresses microglial senescence by promoting autophagy through the SHBG/JNK1/Beclin1 axis, thereby alleviating aging‐related cognitive impairment.
