Analysis of Shear Performance of Multi-Bolt Shear Connectors. [PDF]
Bolt shear connectors used in prefabricated steel–concrete composite beams can be arranged into a group to enhance the construction efficiency, which will cause the multi-bolt effect and further affect the shear performance of bolt connectors. This paper developed three-dimensional finite element models of push-out specimens to investigate the shear ...

Behavior of Tilted Angle Shear Connectors. [PDF]
According to recent researches, angle shear connectors are appropriate to transfer longitudinal shear forces across the steel-concrete interface. Angle steel profile has been used in different positions as L-shaped or C-shaped shear connectors. The application of angle shear connectors in tilted positions is of interest in this study.

Behaviour of Corroded Single Stud Shear Connectors. [PDF]
In this study, the effect of corrosion on the static behavior of stud shear connectors was investigated. An innovative test setup for single stud shear connectors was designed and established. Two series of specimens having different stud diameters were fabricated and tested.

Shear Capacity of C-Shaped and L-Shaped Angle Shear Connectors. [PDF]
This paper investigates the behaviour of C-shaped and L-shaped angle shear connectors embedded in solid concrete slabs. An effective finite element model is proposed to simulate the push out tests of these shear connectors that encompass nonlinear material behaviour, large displacement and damage plasticity.

DEFORMATION CAPACITY AND DUCTILITY OF SHEAR CONNECTORS
AbstractDeformation capacity and slip range (eventually called “ductility”) of shear connectors are key parameters for the design of shear connectors in composite beams, especially in partial shear connection. Existing design rules require a deformation capacity of at least 6 mm for the use of shear connectors with plastic design methods.

Shear Capacity of Demountable Shear Connectors
No Much of the environmental impact of buildings is associated with consumption of resources and generation of waste. The construction industry in Europe consumes over 70,000 million tonnes of a wide range of materials each year, and generates over 250 million tonnes of waste. Reducing waste is a priority for all the European Governments.

Testing of continuous shear connector
Abstract Composite steel-concrete bridges are one of the most recent additions to the bridge science. By joining the two of the most commonly used materials it is possible to use their strengths combined. This was firstly presented for composite ceilings. It was assembled by encasing the whole I-beams into the concrete deck. Nowadays, it

Research on the Shear Behaviour of Composite Shear Connectors
In order to make full use of the advantages of welded stud and perfobond rib shear connectors, a new type of composite shear connector is proposed. Studs are welded to the perforated steel plate of the PBL connectors. Six specimens were designed and tested to investigate the shear behaviour of the composite connectors.

Effect of shear connector spacing and layout on the shear connector capacity in composite beams
A three dimensional nonlinear finite element model has been developed to study the behaviour of composite beams with profiled sheeting oriented perpendicular to its axis. The analysis of the push test was carried out using ABAQUS/Explicit with slow load application to ensure a quasi-static solution. Both material and geometric nonlinearities were taken
