A biochemical study of the intermediary carbon metabolism of Shewanella putrefaciens [PDF]
Cell extracts were used to determine the enzymes involved in the intermediary carbon metabolism of several strains of Shewanella putrefaciens. Enzymes of the Entner-Doudoroff pathway (6-phosphogluconate dehydratase and 2-keto-3-deoxy-6-phosphogluconate aldolase) were detected, but those of the Embden-Meyerhof-Parnas pathway were not.

Methyl caffeate exhibits dual functionality against Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato. It directly disrupts bacterial membrane integrity, induces reactive oxygen species accumulation, and inhibits flagellar motility and the type III secretion system. Concurrently, it primes plant defence by activating defence‐related gene expression and enzyme activities,

Antibiotics reshape fish gut microbiota, promoting antimicrobial‐resistant bacteria (ARB) emergence. In the dry season, ARB accumulate in water and dominate a specific niche. Wet‐season hydrological changes introduce new bacteria, disturb native communities and drive shifts in AMB abundance and the emergence of novel resistant taxa across compartments.

Complete genome sequence of Shewanella putrefaciens. Final report
Seventy percent of the costs for genome sequencing Shewanella putrefaciens (oneidensis) were requested. These funds were expected to allow completion of the low-pass (5-fold) random sequencing and complete closure and annotation of the 200 kbp plasmid ...

Osteomyelitis due to Shewanella putrefaciens: case report and literature review [PDF]
Shewanella putrefaciens is a Gram-negative bacillus and marine pathogen that rarely causes disease in humans. We report a case of osteomyelitis by this organism in a 48-year-old male patient, who presented with pain and erythema of the right foot that ...
