Tree-shifts: the entropy of tree-shifts of finite type [PDF]
This paper studies the entropy of tree-shifts of finite type with and without boundary conditions. We demonstrate that computing the entropy of a tree-shift of finite type is equivalent to solving a system of nonlinear recurrence equations.

The expressiveness of quasiperiodic and minimal shifts of finite type [PDF]
We study multidimensional minimal and quasiperiodic shifts of finite type. We prove for these classes several results that were previously known for the shifts of finite type in general, without restriction.

Intermediate beta-shifts of finite type
An aim of this article is to highlight dynamical differences between the greedy, and hence the lazy, $\beta$-shift (transformation) and an intermediate $\beta$-shift (transformation), for a fixed $\beta \in (1, 2)$.

Shifts of finite type and random substitutions [PDF]
We prove that every topologically transitive shift of finite type in one dimension is topologically conjugate to a subshift arising from a primitive random substitution on a finite alphabet.

Correction: Some notes on classification of shift spaces: Shifts of Finite Type; Sofic Shifts; and Finitely Defined Shifts [PDF]
This paper is a corrigendum to the article'Some notes on the classification of shift spaces: Shifts of Finite Type; Sofic Shifts; and Finitely Defined Shifts'. In this article we correct Lemma 5.3. Therefore, we follow correcting statements and proofs of

On Spatial Entropy and Periodic Entropies of Two-dimensional Shifts of Finite Type [PDF]
Topological entropy or spatial entropy is a way to measure the complexity of shift spaces. This study investigates the relationships between the spatial entropy and the various periodic entropies which are computed by skew-coordinated systems $\gamma\in ...

On graph induced symbolic systems
In this paper, we investigate shift spaces arising from a multidimensional graph G. In particular, we investigate nonemptiness and existence of periodic points for a multidimensional shift space.

On the stability of the difference analogue of the boundary value problem for a mixed type equation [PDF]
This paper considers a difference problem for a mixed-type equation, to which a problem of integral geometry for a family of curves satisfying certain regularity conditions is reduced.

Zeta Function for Commuting Matrix Shift of Finite Type
In this paper we show two-dimensional shifts of finite type whose transition matrices commutes and such that the entries of their product also consist of 0’s and 1’s.
