Targeted Inhibition of CD74+ Macrophages by Luteolin via CEBPB/P65 Signaling Ameliorates Osteoarthritis Progression
Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study identifies CD74⁺ macrophages as key drivers of synovial inflammation in osteoarthritis (OA). The flavonoid luteolin is predicted to inhibit this pathway by blocking Nuclear Factor Kappa‐light‐chain‐enhancer of Activated B cells (NF‐κB) signaling. To enhance delivery, a targeted nanoplatform (MDSPL) is developed.Rui Peng, Bo Yu, Lei Zhang, Zhaowen Xue, Lutian Yao, Qingjun Yang, Zitao Liu, Sizhi Wu, Yongquan Huang, Xiaofei Zheng, Huiying Guo, Songwei Huan, Tao Jiang, Huajun Wang, Yulong Wei, Tao Gui +15 morewiley +1 more sourceImmune Predictors of Radiotherapy Outcomes in Cervical Cancer
Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study reveals dynamic immune remodeling in cervical cancer following radiotherapy. Single‐cell analysis identifies the C3/C3AR1 axis as a central mediator of epithelial–myeloid crosstalk, whose inhibition reduces treatment efficacy in mice. Guided by these insights, the eight‐feature machine‐learning model: Cervical Cancer Radiotherapy Immune ...Linghao Wang, Jie Zhu, Zequn Ding, Zhiyuan Xie, Xingchen Liu, Feihong Zhang, Xiaojun Liu, Yan Zhang, Haiyan Chen +8 morewiley +1 more sourceCinnamic‐Hydroxamic‐Acid Derivatives Exhibit Antibiotic, Anti‐Biofilm, and Supercoiling Relaxation Properties by Targeting Bacterial Nucleoid‐Associated Protein HU
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Cinnamic‐hydroxamic‐acid derivatives (CHADs) are identified as novel inhibitors of the bacterial nucleoid‐associated protein HU, exhibiting potent antibacterial, anti‐biofilm (both inhibition and eradication), and DNA relaxation (anti‐supercoiling) activities. Moreover, CHADs demonstrate strong synergistic effects with multiple antibiotics.Huan Chen, Yingqi Xu, Zhaoping Xiong, Hongliang Wang, Xin Wang, Yue Kang, Zhonglin Wang, Xiaoyan Zeng, Yahui Liu, Yehuan Zheng, Wei Chen, Mengzhe Li, Zhenyue Hu, Chi Xu, Yue Wu, Yawen Wang, Zuyi Yuan, Shuai Yuan, Huadong Liu, Steve Matthews, Nan Qiao, Yan Li, Bing Liu +22 morewiley +1 more sourceCombination of nucleated red blood cells and inflammatory biomarkers (PCT and CRP) for predicting sepsis and septic shock in children
Frontiers in Cellular and Infection MicrobiologyIntroductionSepsis remains a leading cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. This study aimed to investigate the clinical characteristics of children with sepsis and septic shock, with emphasis to evaluate the predictive value of C-reactive protein ...Kaibin Pu, Kaibin Pu, Kaibin Pu, Chunyi Wang, Jie Cheng, Jie Cheng, Jie Cheng, Dapeng Chen, Liping Tan, Liping Tan, Liping Tan, Jihong Tan, Jihong Tan, Jihong Tan, Hongdong Li, Hongdong Li, Hongdong Li +16 moredoaj +1 more sourceSkeletal Muscle HSF1 Alleviates Age‐Associated Sarcopenia and Mitochondrial Function Decline via SIRT3‐PGC1α Axis
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Aged HSF1 muscle‐specific knockout mice show deteriorated muscle atrophy and metabolic dysfunction, while active HSF1 overexpression improves muscle function via activating SIRT3 to deacetylate both PGC1α1 and PGC1α4, which boosts mitochondrial function and muscle hypertrophy in a fiber‐type specific manner, and induces FNDC5/Irisin for tissue ...Jun Zhang, Min Hu, Xia Wu, Mingwei Guo, Ying Ma, Jin Qiu, Siqi Wang, Yuxiang Cao, Yinzhao Zhong, Fangfang Chen, Yiwen Wang, Wei Wei, Yan Lu, Yong Zhang, Junjie Xiao, Zhenji Gan, Cheng Hu, Xinran Ma, Lingyan Xu +18 morewiley +1 more sourceSubicular Astrocytes Govern Seizure‐Impaired Fear Memory
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Astrocytes in dorsal subiculum act as a critical modulator of seizure‐associated cognitive dysfunction, operating through a Ca2+‐dependent adenosine‐linked astrocyte‐neuron signaling pathway that disrupts neuronal circuit homeostasis. This research highlights the potential of astrocyte‐targeted interventions as a therapeutic strategy, moving beyond the Yuying Shao, Jing Xi, Yuhao Sun, Yulan Li, Zhisheng Li, Wangjialu Lu, Jialu Chen, Lin Yang, Fan Fei, Heming Cheng, Li Cheng, Cenglin Xu, Zhuo Huang, Vladimir Parpura, Yi Wang, Zhong Chen +15 morewiley +1 more sourceAn Automated Organotypic SCN Culture System Revealing Novel Insights into VIP Regulation of Circadian Rhythm
Advanced Science, EarlyView. An Automated ex vivo culture system BaSIC, tailored for SCN slices and cell culture, which automates medium exchange and ensures a stable internal environment is developed.
