Objective Youth who experience a sport‐related knee injury have elevated odds of becoming overweight or developing obesity in 3 to 10 years, compounding their risk for posttraumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA). To inform prevention strategies, this study compared patterns of adiposity change between youth with a sport‐related knee injury and uninjured youth ...

Laser‐Induced Graphene from Waste Almond Shells
Almond shells, an abundant agricultural by‐product, are repurposed to create a fully bioderived almond shell/chitosan composite (ASC) degradable in soil. ASC is converted into laser‐induced graphene (LIG) by laser scribing and proposed as a substrate for transient electronics.

Exploring farmers' willingness to join short food supply chains
Romanian agriculture is dominated by numerous small and medium-sized producers, who barely manage to market their outputs. Scientists indicate that cooperation by forming short chains may overcome this situation, thus the paper explores the willingness of farmers to join short food supply chains, starting from the premise that most of them want to ...

ABSTRACT Electronic waste has emerged as a major environmental challenge, driven by the massive consumption and a limited lifetime of modern electronic devices, stimulating the development of sustainable electronics. Here, an all‐biomaterial gelatin‐choline‐citric acid ([Ch][CA]) ionogel is developed as an active binder to realize self‐sintered ...

Short food supply chains – consumer preferences [PDF]
Kratki lanci opskrbe hranom imaju ključnu ulogu u povezivanju lokalnih proizvođača s potrošačima, promicanju održivosti, podupiranju lokalnih gospodarstava i omogućavanju pristupa svježim, visokonutritivnim proizvodima. Međutim, njihovo tržište još je nerazvijeno zbog neusklađenosti između potražnje potrošača i ponude proizvođača.
