Multilayer Biobased Poly(ethylene furanoate)/Graphene Oxide Nanofibrous Membranes With Directional Water Transport for Efficient Microplastics Filtration

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A self‐assembled multilayer biobased PEF/GO nanofibrous membrane was developed by electrospinning for efficient PLA microplastics (MPs) filtration. The membrane combines superhydrophilicity, directional water transport, mechanical robustness, and a synergistic size‐exclusion interception and electrostatic repulsion MPs separation mechanism, enabling ...

Freehand Three-Dimensional Ultrasound to Evaluate Scapular Movement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Altered scapular kinematics have been linked to increases in shoulder pain and pathology. As such, identifying normal scapular movement is integral to preventing pathology and maintaining health of the joint.

Conductive Tin Oxide Under the Thermal Budget of Perovskite/TOPCon Tandems: Toward Indium‐Free Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that achieving conductive undoped SnOx contacts required careful tailoring of oxygen vacancy (VO) tuning and defect engineering. Controlling oxygen deposition pressure and low‐temperature annealing (300°C) optimizes defect stoichiometry and mitigates carrier scattering. This low thermal budget approach significantly enhances Hall

Secondary Motions of the Shoulder during Arm Elevation in Patients with Shoulder Tightness

open access: yes, 2011
An analysis of secondary shoulder motions (humeral rotation, humeral head anterior/posterior translation, scapular tipping, and scapular upward/ downward rotation) in subjects with anterior/posterior shoulder tightness provides the opportunity to examine

A Layered Two‐Dimensional Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework Based on 2,5,8,11‐Tetrakis(4‐Carboxyphenyl)Perylene Diimide: Structural Nature, Optical and Photophysical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A novel hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) based on perylene diimide (PDI) is synthesized, structurally and spectroscopically characterized. Its photophysical behavior highlights how supramolecular organizations govern the optical properties, including emission from monomers, aggregates, and excimer‐like species. Structural transformations induced

Collision‐Resilient Winged Drones Enabled by Tensegrity Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Based on structures of birds such as the woodpeck, this article presents the collision‐resilient aerial robot, SWIFT. SWIFT leverages tensegrity structures in the fuselage and wings which allow it to undergo large deformations in a crash, without sustaining damage. Experiments show that SWIFT can reduce impact forces by 70% over conventional structures.

The Uniformly Most Powerful Invariant Test for the Shoulder Condition in Point Transect Sampling [PDF]

open access: yes
Estimating population abundance is of primary interest in wildlife population studies. Point transect sampling is a well established methodology for this purpose.

Gait Analysis of Pak Biawak: A Necrobot Lizard Built using the Skeleton of an Asian Water Monitor (Varanus Salvator)

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Pak Biawak, a necrobot, embodies an unusual fusion of biology and robotics. Designed to repurpose natural structures after death, it challenges conventional boundaries between nature and engineering. Its movements are precise yet unsettling, raising questions about sustainability, ethics, and the untapped potential of biointegrated machines.

lnfraspinatus-teres minor interfascial block combined with periarticular infiltration versus periarticular infiltration analgesia alone for postoperative analgesia in patients undergoing arthroscopic shoulder surgery: protocol for a randomized controlled clinical trial

open access: yesTrials
Background Although interscalene nerve block is considered as the standard analgesic method for arthroscopic shoulder surgery, it is not indicated for patients with respiratory comorbidity.

The Effect Of Walking Lunge With Unilateral Shoulder Press Exercise On Semi Smash Accuracy

open access: yesCOMPETITOR: Jurnal Pendidikan Kepelatihan Olahraga
The semi-smash is a fast-paced attack technique in volleyball that demands the integration of explosive leg power, core stability, and shoulder control to produce an accurate and effective shot. However, extracurricular training at the school level often does not integrate functional strength training models specific to the biomechanical requirements ...
