Molecular Immunology, 2007
Outbreaks of infectious diseases have resulted in high mortality and huge economic losses in penaeid shrimp culture. Interest in understanding shrimp immunity has increased because of its importance in disease control. Here we report cDNA cloning of a Toll receptor from the white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. L.

Journal of Trauma: Injury, Infection & Critical Care, 2008
Shrimp winch injuries range from phalangeal injuries to life-threatening limb amputations. The injuries often result in significant morbidity, significant cost, and lengthy hospitalizations. There are usually insufficient or nonexistent safety mechanisms on the boats to prevent these injuries.

SHRIMPS: OCCURRENCE, SCALING AND RELEVANCE
International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2012Shrimps are islands of periodicity within a chaotic sea in phase and parameter spaces of dimensions larger than one. Islands of different periodicities have recently been shown to be connected by spirals that emanate from a joint focal point, paving ways to wander around in parameter space without ever crossing the chaotic sea.

Distribution of Marine Red Yeasts in Shrimps and the Environments of Shrimp Culture
Current Microbiology, 2011Populations of marine red yeast from shrimps and the environments of shrimp culture were investigated from various areas at Zhanjiang in China. All strains were studied for the production of biomass and carotenoids. We isolated 88 marine red yeast strains and the average populations of marine red yeast in seawater and the water from shrimp culture ...

This paper describes an implementation of stream sockets for the SHRIMP multicomputer. SHRIMP supports protected, user-level data transfer, allows user-level code to perform its own buffer management, and separates data transfers from control transfers so that data transfers can be done without the interrupting the receiving node's CPU.
