ABSTRACT We report the case of a 10‐year‐old boy (41 kg, 133 cm) with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (mitral and aortic atresia), who underwent staged palliation: Norwood‐Sano at 6 days, Glenn at 7 months, and Fontan completion at 3 years using a 16 mm non‐fenestrated extracardiac Gore‐Tex conduit.

Abstract The Denver shunt is used for persistent chylothorax as a pleuroperitoneal shunt. Insertion of a Denver shunt was attempted in the current case involving a 3-year-old male with a refractory right cervical mediastinal lymphangioma.

Untargeted Metabolomics Identifies N‐Lactoyl‐Amino Acids as Dose‐Responsive Plasma Biomarkers of Metformin Adherence in Type 2 Diabetes

Metformin is the most widely prescribed antidiabetic drug, yet adherence remains difficult to objectively assess. Using untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics, we analyzed plasma from 637 patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) with confirmed metformin use and 143 nondiabetic controls, annotating 614 metabolites.
