An RC notch filter with distributed shunt resistance

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1973
The effect of the distributed nature of the shunt resistor in the distributed RC notch filter networks is investigated, and it is shown that the distributed capacitance associated with the shunt resistor can drastically shift the location of the optimum notch frequency.

Influence of Shunt Resistance on the Performance of an Illuminated String of Solar Cells: Theory, Simulation, and Experimental Analysis

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Device and Materials Reliability, 2014
This paper presents an extensive study of how a solar cell with low shunt resistance can affect the performance and reliability of a solar panel. The analysis is based on both simulations and experimental tests and provides the following results: 1) the ...

Resistive Shunt On-line Impedance Analyzer

2016 International Symposium on Power Line Communications and its Applications (ISPLC), 2016
This paper describes a new low cost instrument to accurately measure power line impedances on-line. Computer simulation is presented, which shows that the fundamental accuracy of the Resistive Shunt On-line Impedance Analyzer is better than 0.1% from 0.5 Ω to 50 kΩ and from 1 kHz to 10 MHz. Hardware measurements of a wide range of resistors and on-line
