Resistance Within Hemodialysis Shunts Predicts Patency
Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, 2006The authors examined the relationship between patency after thrombectomy of clotted dialysis grafts and intraoperative measurements of flow (Q), pressure gradient (PGR), and longitudinal resistance (RL). Eighteen thrombosed arteriovenous (AV) grafts underwent 21 thrombectomies.

A shunt method for determining vascular resistance
Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, 1980A method is suggested for determining vascular resistance from the blood flow in the test vascular bed and in the shunt tube that is invariable in length and diameter, paralleled to this bed. In conformity with Hagen-Poiselles's equations, the viscosity component dependent on the composition and the temperature of blood should be omitted in the results

Resistively shunted Josephson tunnel junctions
Solid State Communications, 1978Abstract SIS tunnel junctions have externally been shunted by a thin metallic film. It is shown that such devices exhibit radiation induced steps as point contacts or microbridges. This result agrees qualitatively with the commonly used lumped circuit model of Josephson junctions.

Influence of Resistivity and Shunt Resistance in PV Modules Performance
2010Nowadays several kinds of silicon wafers can be used for solar cells manufacturing. Bulk resistivity of wafers and shunt resistance of cells are parameters with significant influence in electrical performance. We have sorted out several groups of monocrystalline solar cells attending to them.

Thresholds of resistance to CSF outflow in predicting shunt responsiveness
Neurological Research, 2014Disturbances in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) absorption capacity represent one of the primary causes of normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). The resistance to CSF outflow (Rout) may reflect the severity of this disturbance and has been used as a supplementary parameter to predict shunt responsiveness. However, there is no widely accepted threshold of Rout

Estimation of Shunt Resistance by Electroluminescence Imaging
2014In the present work, an approach has been presented for estimation of the quantitative shunt resistance values of linear shunts in crystalline silicon solar cells by electroluminescence imaging. In this method, electroluminescence intensity is related with the actual shunt value considering the voltage and current across the shunt.

Simulated shunts as dc low-resistance travelling standards
2015 IEEE 1st International Forum on Research and Technologies for Society and Industry Leveraging a better tomorrow (RTSI), 2015We introduce a device that simulates a low-valued resistance standard (shunt) that can be employed as a metrology-grade travelling standard, for the traceability transfer of dc resistance in the low range, and in laboratory intercomparisons. The device is composed of a direct-current current comparator (DCCT) and a mid-range resistance standard.

Arrays of resistively shunted Josephson junctions in magnetic fields
Physical Review B, 1993A two-dimensional array of resistively shunted Josephson junctions in the presence of both applied external currents and transverse magnetic fields is studied both analytically and numerically. The dynamics of the system is specified by a set of Langevin equations, and leads to a stationary state, which can be described by an effective Hamiltonian. The
