Chromatofocusing of sialoglycoproteins
Sialoglycoproteins of different sialic acid contents have been separated from each other by chromatofocusing on the ion exchanger PBE 94 using gradients of pH 4.00 down to pH 1.00. The technique is much faster than isoelectric focusing, apparently does not result in desialylation of the sialoglycoproteins and can handle with ease 10 ng to 50 mg ...

Biochemistry and Oncology of Sialoglycoproteins
Sialoglycoproteins are defined as proteins containing one or more sialyl oligosaccharides covalently bound via their reducing end to the polypeptide chain. Most, but not all, of the glycosylated proteins in animals contain sialic acid and therefore qualify as sialoglycoproteins.

SIALOGLYCOPROTEINS AND SEVERAL GLYCOSIDASES IN DEVELOPING RAT BRAIN
Journal of Neurochemistry, 1970Abstract— The amount of sialoglycoproteins expressed as μmol of sialic acid per g of lipid‐free residue remained fairly constant in developing rat brain. However, the activity of various enzymes which may be involved in glycoprotein metabolism varied in an inconstant fashion during the period of development.

Identification and Analysis of O-Acetylated Sialoglycoproteins
5-N-acetylneuraminic acid, commonly known as sialic acid (Sia), constitutes a family of N- and O-substituted 9-carbon monosaccharides. Frequent modification of O-acetylations at positions C-7, C-8, or C-9 of Sias generates a family of O-acetylated sialic acid (O-AcSia) and plays crucial roles in many cellular events like cell-cell adhesion ...

Human erythrocyte membrane sialoglycoproteins: A study of interconversion
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 1974Summary The sialoglycoproteins of human erythrocyte membranes can be separated into four molecular weight classes by gel electrophoresis in the presence of sodium dodecyl sulfate. Two of these components participate in an aggregation/disaggregation equilibrium favoring the lower molecular weight form at higher temperature.
