Réflexions sur la formalisation, en tant que système, d’une transcription des formes des Langues des Signes : l’approche Typannot [PDF]

open access: yesSHS Web of Conferences, 2020
Transcrire les langues des signes (LS) nécessite de prendre en considération leur nature gestuelle et de comprendre les raisons (parmi lesquelles centration sur les mains et utilisation d’un cadre de référence égocentré) pour lesquelles des systèmes ...

Signed distance in signed graphs [PDF]

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2021
Signed graphs have their edges labeled either as positive or negative. Here we introduce two types of signed distance matrix for signed graphs. We characterize balance in signed graphs using these matrices and we obtain explicit formulae for the distance spectrum of some unbalanced signed graphs.

Analysis of archaic human haplotypes suggests that 5hmC acts as an epigenetic guide for NCO recombination

open access: yesBMC Biology, 2022
Background Non-crossover (NCO) refers to a mechanism of homologous recombination in which short tracks of DNA are copied between homologue chromatids.

Gut-Evolved Candida albicans Induces Metabolic Changes in Neutrophils

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, 2021
Serial passaging of the human fungal pathogen Candida albicans in the gastrointestinal tract of antibiotics-treated mice selects for virulence-attenuated strains.

DC-SIGN and L-SIGN: the SIGNs for infection [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Molecular Medicine, 2008
Two closely related trans-membrane C-type lectins dendritic cell-specific intracellular adhesion molecules (ICAM)-3 grabbing non-integrin (DC-SIGN or CD209) and liver/lymph node-specific ICAM-3 grabbing non-integrin (L-SIGN also known as DC-SIGNR, CD209L or CLEC4M) directly recognize a wide range of micro-organisms of major impact on public health ...

Spatial Sign Correlation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A new robust correlation estimator based on the spatial sign covariance matrix (SSCM) is proposed. We derive its asymptotic distribution and influence function at elliptical distributions.

FUT6 deficiency compromises basophil function by selectively abrogating their sialyl-Lewis x expression

open access: yesCommunications Biology, 2021
Puan and San Luis et al. find that FUT6, encoding a fucosyltransferase, is required for the “rolling” behavior of certain white blood cells that enables them to move from blood vessels to tissues.

Nature of the spin resonance mode in CeCoIn$_5$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Spin-fluctuation-mediated unconventional superconductivity can emerge at the border of magnetism, featuring a superconducting order parameter that changes sign in momentum space.

A benchmark of batch-effect correction methods for single-cell RNA sequencing data

open access: yesGenome Biology, 2020
Background Large-scale single-cell transcriptomic datasets generated using different technologies contain batch-specific systematic variations that present a challenge to batch-effect removal and data integration.

Publisher Correction: IgG1 memory B cells keep the memory of IgE responses

open access: yesNature Communications, 2018
The originally published version of this Article contained errors in Fig. 4 that were introduced during the production process. In panel c, the two uppermost labels ‘IgE spleen’ and ‘IgE BM’ incorrectly read ‘IgG1 spleen’ and ‘IgE1 BM’, respectively ...
