Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

A sign-changing solution for a superlinear Dirichlet problem, II

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
In previous work by Castro, Cossio, and Neuberger cite{ccn}, it was shown that a superlinear Dirichlet problem has at least three nontrivial solutions when the derivative of the nonlinearity at zero is less than the first eigenvalue of $-Delta$ with zero

Multiplicity of Positive Solutions for a Singular Tempered Fractional Initial-Boundary Value Problem with Changing-Sign Perturbation Term

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
In this paper, we focus on the multiplicity of positive solutions for a singular tempered fractional initial-boundary value problem with a p-Laplacian operator and a changing-sign perturbation term.

Infinitely Many Sign-Changing Solutions for Some Nonlinear Fourth-Order Beam Equations

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
Several new existence theorems on positive, negative, and sign-changing solutions for the following fourth-order beam equation are obtained: u(4)=f(t,u(t)),   t∈[0,1];  u(0)=u(1)=u′′(0)=u′′(1)=0, where f∈C([0,1]×ℝ1,ℝ1).

Differential expression of cancer‐related genes supports prediction of poor response to first‐line treatments in T‐ALL pediatric patients with high minimal residual disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In the present work, we have identified a transcriptional signature based on the differential expression of six genes (BCL2&MAST4, HSH2D&LAT2, METRN&PITPNM2) that would facilitate the early detection of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) patients prone to a poor treatment response and could be implemented at diagnosis, along with other risk ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Multiple positive solutions for nonlocal problems involving a sign-changing potential

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article we show the existence and multiplicity of positive solutions for the nonlocal problem with a sign-changing weight function, $$\displaylines{ -(a-b\int_{\Omega}|\nabla u|^2dx)\Delta u= f_\lambda(x)|u|^{q-2}u, \quad\text{in }\Omega ...

Existence and convergence of sign-changing solutions for Kirchhoff-type $p$-Laplacian problems involving critical exponent in $\mathbb{R}^N$

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations
We investigate the existence of sign-changing solutions for Kirchhoff-type problems with $p$-Laplacian involving critical exponent: \begin{equation*} -\left(1+b \vert \nabla v \vert_p^p\right)\Delta_p v+a(x)\vert v\vert^{p-2}v=\vert v\vert^{p^*-2}v ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Least energy sign-changing solutions for nonlinear problems involving fractional Laplacian

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
In this article, we study the existence of least energy sign-changing solutions for nonlinear problems involving fractional Laplacian. By introducing some new ideas and combining constraint variational method with the quantitative deformation lemma ...
