Omnidirectional Shape Proprioception for Untethered Shape Memory Alloy‐Driven Soft Robotic Arms

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
A lightweight, modular soft robotic arm employs SMA actuation and a multi‐Hall‐magnet sensing system to achieve accurate omnidirectional shape proprioception. Each 35 g segment enables scalable assembly, while robust proprioception supports versatile navigation and manipulation in complex, unstructured environments.

Algorithm to demodulate an electromyogram signal modulated by essential tremor

open access: yesROBOMECH Journal, 2017
Essential tremor is a disorder that causes involuntary oscillations in patients both while they are engaged in actions and when maintaining a posture. Such patients face serious difficulties in performing daily living activities such as meal movement. We

SYNCHRONOUS DEMODULATION OF PIXELATED PHASE-SHIFTED INTERFEROGRAMS FOR DYNAMIC INTERFEROMETRY [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
"Single-shot phase-shifting interferometers have become a de facto standard in interferometry for the study of fast dynamic phenomena and/or to achieve low-sensitivity to environmental vibrations.

Research on Diaphragm Pump Fault Diagnosis Method Based on Res‐DCB‐Net

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nonstationary pressure pulsation signals of diaphragm pumps contain strong background noise and coupled characteristics. This makes it challenging to extract incipient fault features and to decouple faults with similar physical mechanisms. To address these limitations, this paper proposes a spatiotemporal fault diagnosis model named Res‐DCB ...

Multi-stages helical gearbox fault detection using vibration signal and Morlet wavelet transform adapted by information entropy difference [PDF]

open access: yes
Although the wavelet analysis is a powerful tool and has been widely used for the vibration signal based gearbox fault diagnosis, there are some limitations that undermine its application.

Optimizing Strategies for Non‐Invasive Prospection of Settlements in the Intertidal Zone: A Case Study From the Centre of the Drowned Medieval Village of Tolsende (Scheldt Estuary, the Netherlands)

open access: yesArchaeological Prospection, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Medieval and early modern drowned villages in the intertidal zone of the Scheldt estuary (the Netherlands) constitute intriguing yet largely understudied components of north‐western Europe's underwater cultural heritage. Despite their high archaeological potential as time capsules of past settlement landscapes, research has remained limited ...

Transient Charging Dynamics in Stacked Ga2O3/ZnO Photovoltaic Units Governing Wavelength‐Selective Polarity Switching

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This work reveals a “Photovoltaic‐Capacitance” coupling mechanism in stacked Ga2O3/ZnO devices, defining the ZnO/graphene interface as a novel Photovoltaic Dynamic‐Capacitor (PDC). The wavelength‐selective bipolar response enables a physical layer secure communication protocol based on ternary optical logic (“1,” “0,” “−1”).

Flexible wearable electronics for cardiovascular monitoring from surface signals to deep physiological insights

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
This review organizes flexible wearable electronics for cardiovascular monitoring into four interconnected information layers: surface electrophysiology, hemodynamic sensing, vascular imaging, and biofluid biomarker analysis. This framework clarifies how electrical rhythm, vascular loading, structural and flow‐related features, and biochemical states ...
