Signal Integrity Analysis and Electromagnetic Inteference Modeling for Autonomous Vehicles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
An autonomous vehicle (AV) may employ various sensors to detect the environment, and the hardware for self-driving should be able to process large volume of sensor data and make real-time decisions. For signal integrity (SI), both the bandwidths and data

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Cryogenic and conventional milling of AZ91 magnesium alloy

open access: yesJournal of Magnesium and Alloys
Use of magnesium is the need of the hour due to its low density as well as its high strength-to-weight and stiffness-to-weight ratio etc. This study focuses on the effectiveness of liquid nitrogen (LN2) assisted cryogenic machining on the surface ...

Si 3 N 4 :HfO 2 dual‐k spacer bulk planar junctionless transistor for mixed signal integrated circuits

open access: yesIET Circuits, Devices & Systems, 2018
For the first time halfnium oxide (HfO 2 ) is being incorporated in the dual‐k spacers and has been used in bulk planar junctionless transistor (BPJLT). It has been found that incorporating HfO 2 in spacers not only improves the electrostatic integrity ...

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Wavelet-based fragile watermarking scheme for image authentication [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We propose a fragile watermarking scheme in the wavelet transform domain that is sensitive to all kinds of manipulations and has the ability to localize the tampered regions.
