How slow is Shannon's reconstruction for bandlimited signals?

open access: yes, 2015
Shannon's sampling theorem is fundamental in signal processing. It provides the exact reconstruction of a bandlimited signal from its samples at the Nyquist rate by the cardinal series.

State Identification of Charging Module Based on SN‐EMD‐SSEE and DBO‐HKELM

open access: yesEngineering Reports
Lithium‐ion batteries are widely used in emergency back‐up power supply with its superior performance, and they are usually used with a charging module. The charging module is usually composed of power electronic devices, but failures may occur in power ...

A heuristic for sparse signal reconstruction.

open access: yes, 2012
Compressive Sampling (CS) is a new method of signal acquisition and reconstruction from frequency data which do not follow the basic principle of the Nyquist-Shannon sampling theory. This new method allows reconstruction of the signal from substantially fewer measurements than those required by conventional sampling methods.

Wavelet Reconstruction of Nonuniformly Sampled Signals

open access: yesIEEE Signal Processing Letters, 2009
For the reconstruction of a nonuniformly sampled signal based on its noisy observations, we propose a level dependent l1 penalized wavelet reconstruction method. The LARS/Lasso algorithm is applied to solve the Lasso problem. The data adaptive choice of the regularization parameters is based on the AIC and the degrees of freedom is estimated by the ...

Sex‐Stratified Association of Regional Dopamine Transporter Binding With Disease Progression in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To clarify the clinical relevance of dopamine transporter single‐photon emission computed tomography (DAT‐SPECT) abnormalities in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), with a prespecified focus on sex‐stratified associations with disease progression and short‐term prognosis.

Neurochemical Endpoints to Inform Early‐Stage Trials of Spinocerebellar Ataxia 2 and 3 in a Multisite Setting

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Neurochemical levels measured by brain MR spectroscopy (MRS) have been proposed as endpoints for clinical trials in early‐stage spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) trials. We tested their trial‐readiness by quantifying neurochemicals in three affected brain regions in early‐stage cohorts of SCA2 and SCA3, examining their reproducibility in ...

Sparse Signal Reconstruction With Ellipsoid Enlargement

open access: yes, 2011
2 = ? and iteratively resetting the axes where the signal is zero. The proposed method has a higher reconstruction performance compared to standard iterative and ?1 norm minimization based sparse recovery methods.

T1 Over Squared Proton Density Ratio to Characterize Multiple Sclerosis Lesions

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Differentiating remyelinated from demyelinated lesions in MS remains challenging without histological confirmation. This study introduces the T1‐to‐PD2 ratio (TPR) imaging approach and evaluates its ability to characterize MS lesions alongside other quantitative MRI (qMRI) metrics. Methods Thirty individuals with MS (mean age: 47.5 ±

Arpro, un nouveau modele de signal

open access: yes, 1993
Dans cet article, nous présentons un nouveau modèle de signal appelé ARPRO. Ce modèle est à mi-chemin entre la modélisation AutoRégressive et la modélisation de Prony.
