Solubility of silicic acid

Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1956
1. The solubilities of silicic acid gels in water at 25.9° and 97° were studied. 2. It was shown that the silicic acid that passed into solution was present entirely in, the form of simple molecules and ions capable of reacting with molybdic acid.

Crystalline Silicic Acids

1986
Different types of crystalline silicic acids are obtained from layer silicates by proton exchange. Hydrated alkali layer silicates formed from SiO2 dispersions in alkaline solutions at 100–150°C are precursors of several acids which are thus available in large amounts.
