Lienard chaotic system based on Duffing and the Sinc function for weak signals detection
IEEE Latin America Transactions, 2022This article presents a modified Duffing system based on Lienards Theorem and the integral of Melnikov, the first is used to propose the interpolation Sinc as a non-linear damping function and the second is used to assure an asymptotically stable limit ...

A Geometric Construction of Multivariate Sinc Functions
IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 2012We present a geometric framework for explicit derivation of multivariate sampling functions (sinc) on multidimensional lattices. The approach leads to a generalization of the link between sinc functions and the Lagrange interpolation in the multivariate setting.

Lp Norms and the Sinc Function
Am. Math. Mon., 2010It’s everywhere! It’s everywhere! … In this note we give elementary proofs of some of the striking asymptotic properties of the p-norm of the ubiquitous sinc function. Based on experimental evidence we conjecture some enticing further properties of the p-norm as a function of p. See, for example, http://www.carma.newcastle.edu.au/~jb616/oscillatory.pdf.

Dynamic Synchrophasor Estimation Based on Weighted Real-Valued Sinc Interpolation Method
IEEE Sensors Journal, 2023Phasor measurement units (PMUs) are the cornerstone of intelligent sensing and monitoring of power systems. The superiority of the sinc interpolation function-based least squares (SLS) method, a signal processing algorithm for PMUs, has been proven in ...

Method & Theory in the Study of Religion, 2010
AbstractIt is usually assumed that, as an approach to religion, or to culture in general, functionalism is passé. Functionalism has been superseded by structuralism, poststructuralism, and postmodernism. Yet the appeal of functionalism as an explanation of the existence or persistence of religion has meant the continuing appearance of functionalist ...

Functional (conversion) neurological symptoms: research since the millennium
Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery & Psychiatry, 2012Functional neurological symptoms (FNS) are commonly encountered but have engendered remarkably little academic interest. 'UK-Functional Neurological Symptoms (UK-FNS)' was an informal inaugural meeting of UK based clinicians in March 2011 with a variety of research and clinical interests in the field.
