The Power Spectrum of a Truncated Sinc Function

Optica Acta: International Journal of Optics, 1971
The Fourier transform of part of a sinc function has been calculated with a digital computer and measured with a coherent optical system. Both symmetric and asymmetric truncations of the function are considered.

Sinc function computation of the eigenvalues of Sturm-Liouville problems

Journal of Computational Physics, 1987
The sinc function is defined by \(\sin c(t)=\sin (\pi t)/\pi t,\) \(t\in (- \infty,\infty)\). As one of the applications of this function, the authors develop a collocation scheme using sinc basis functions to approximate the eigenvalues of regular and singular Sturm-Liouville boundary value problems.

Speaker Conditional Sinc-Extractor for Personal VAD

Interspeech
This study explores Sinc-convolution’s novel application in Personal Voice Activity Detection (PVAD). The Sinc-Extractor (SE) network, developed for PVAD, learns cutoff frequencies and band gains of sinc functions to extract acoustic features ...

Two‐dimensional adaptive Whittaker–Shannon Sinc‐based zooming

Applied Research
In this work, we introduce a novel image zooming methodology that transitions from a nonadaptive Sin‐based approach to an adaptive Sinc‐based zooming technique.

Numerical Methods Based on Whittaker Cardinal, or Sinc Functions

SIAM Review, 1981
This paper summarizes the results known to date for using sine functions composed with other functions as bases for approximations in numerical analysis. Described in this paper are methods of interpolation and approximation of functions and their derivatives, quadrature, the approximate evaluation of transforms (Hilbert, Fourier, Laplace, Hankel and ...
