A Collocation Method for Numerical Solution of the Generalized Burgers-Huxley Equation

open access: yesWalailak Journal of Science and Technology, 2013
In this paper, we use a collocation method to solve the Burgers-Huxley equation. To achieve this aim, we use mesh free technique based on sinc functions. The stability analysis is discussed. Some numerical examples are provided to illustrate the accuracy

Hepatoma‐Derived Growth Factor Coordinates STAT3 Pathway and Exosome‐Mediated Intrahepatic Crosstalk to Control Hepatic Steatosis and MASLD

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hepatic HDGF as a key mediator in coordinating hepatic steatosis and intrahepatic crosstalk in MASLD. Activation of HDGF facilitates its interaction with both STAT3 and S6K1, driving the S6K1‐dependent STAT3 phosphorylation and subsequently enhancing hepatic lipogenesis.

DTX3L Inhibits the EMT, Metastasis, and Stem‐Like Features of Gastric Cancer Through Promoting GSK‐3β Dependent SNAI1 Decay

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research identifies DTX3L as a critical tumor suppressor that inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition (EMT), invasion and metastasis in gastric cancer. By functioning as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, DTX3L targets the master EMT regulator SNAI1 for GSK‐3β‐dependent proteasomal degradation.

Acoustic Green's functions using the Sinc-Galerkin method

open access: yes, 2014
Green's functions represent the scattering behaviour of a particular geometry and are required to propagate acoustic disturbances through complex geometries using integral methods.

Jordan-Type Inequalities and Stratification

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, two double Jordan-type inequalities are introduced that generalize some previously established inequalities. As a result, some new upper and lower bounds and approximations of the sinc function are obtained.

Finite Difference and Sinc-Collocation Approximations to a Class of Fractional Diffusion-Wave Equations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We propose an efficient numerical method for a class of fractional diffusion-wave equations with the Caputo fractional derivative of order α. This approach is based on the finite difference in time and the global sinc collocation in space.

Perceived Blur in Naturally-Contoured Images Depends on Phase

open access: yesFrontiers in Psychology, 2010
Perceived blur is an important measure of image quality and clinical visual function. The magnitude of image blur varies across space and time under natural viewing conditions owing to changes in pupil size and accommodation.

Approximation Techniques for Solving Linear Systems of Volterra Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2020
In this paper, a collocation method using sinc functions and Chebyshev wavelet method is implemented to solve linear systems of Volterra integro-differential equations.

Kinsenoside Targets IDH1 to Restore Microglial Immune‐Metabolic Homeostasis for Alzheimer's Disease Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dysregulated TCA cycle contributes to Alzheimer's disease (AD) pathogenesis. Here, we show that microglial isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) is a critical driver. Elevated IDH1 disrupts citrate metabolism and mitochondrial function, exacerbating AD pathology.

Remarkable properties of the sinc, functions and related integrals

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2021
Abstract Different types of sinc integrals are investigated when the standard sine function is replaced by the generalised sin p , q in two parameters. A striking generalisation of the improper Dirichlet integral is achieved. A second surprising but interesting generalisation of the identity between the Dirichlet integral and that of ...
