Brown Adipocyte Sheets Alleviate Myocardial Ischemia–Reperfusion Injury Through NRG4–ErbB4–Dependent Ferroptosis Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Brown adipocyte sheets are engineered to protect the heart against myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury by restraining ferroptosis. Upon transplantation onto the cardiac surface, they improve cardiac function, limit infarction and fibrosis, and enhance angiogenesis.

Polynomial function and derivative approximation of Sinc data

open access: yesJournal of Complexity, 2009
Sinc methods consist of a family of one-dimensional approximation procedures for approximating the operations of calculus. These procedures are obtained by operating on the sinc interpolation formulae, which are based on the function values in the sinc points. Usually, these operations yield high accuracy.

Master Regulator SMC1A, Stabilized by N6‐Methyladenosine Reader IGF2BP1, Promotes HCC Progression Through Facilitating Enhancer–Promoter Interaction of Nestin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
IGF2BP1‐mediated m6A stabilization sustains SMC1A expression, enabling cohesin‐associated chromatin regulation of Nestin in hepatocellular carcinoma. This work reveals an epitranscriptomic‐chromatin‐cytoskeletal regulatory axis linked to malignant phenotypes and identifies SMC1A as a biologically relevant vulnerability in HCC.

Lactoferrin Deficiency During Lactation Causes Adult Obesity‐Related Metabolic Disease Through Persistent Adipose Dysfunction Driven by Impaired Adipocyte Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Lactational lactoferrin deficiency exerts lasting effects on epididymal adipose tissue development from lactation into adulthood: it impairs adipocyte hyperplasia and induces pathological hypertrophy, resulting in lower body weight yet exacerbated metabolic dysfunction under a high‐fat diet in adulthood.

Compact Tabletop Magnetic Resonance Elastography for Mapping Soft Tissue Viscoelasticity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces a compact, low‐cost tabletop magnetic resonance elastography platform for high‐resolution viscoelastic mapping in soft‐tissue specimens. Using this method in human colorectal liver metastases, we demonstrate fully automated biomechanical profiling of treatment response and show that heterogeneity‐based metrics outperform ...

Generalised discretisation of continuous-time distributions

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2020
In this study, the definition of discretisation that was proposed recently for continuous-time distributions is made applicable not only to ordinary functions but to a variety of distributions including weak derivatives such that they could be viewed ...

Sinc numerical solution for solitons and solitary waves

open access: yes, 2001
A numerical scheme using Sinc–Galerkin method is developed to approximate the solution for the Korteweg–de Vries model equation. Sinc approximation to both derivatives and indefinite integral reduce the integral equation to an explicit system of ...

Aptamer‐Targeted PrPC Drives Colorectal Cancer Metastasis via a LYN‐STAT3 Complex and Enables Liquid Biopsy Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The aptamer WHY‐3E identifies PrPC as a CRC driver. Stabilized by USP18, endocytosed PrPC forms a LYN/STAT3 complex, upregulating MSN transcription to promote metastasis. Crucially, WHY‐3E sensitively detects PrPC‐positive circulating exosomes, establishing a robust theoretical foundation for non‐invasive clinical diagnostics.

Signal Reconstruction from Nonuniformly Spaced Samples Using Evolutionary Slepian Transform-Based POCS

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2010
We consider the reconstruction of signals from nonuniformly spaced samples using a projection onto convex sets (POCSs) implemented with the evolutionary time-frequency transform.

An analog of the Sinc approximation for periodic functions.

open access: yesCoRR, 2019
In this paper, we propose an interpolation formula for periodic functions. This formula can be regarded as an analog of the Sinc approximation, which is an interpolation formula for functions defined on the entire infinite interval. Theoretical error analysis and numerical examples show that the proposed formula converges exponentially for analytic ...
