Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

CEACAM1 participation in breast cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In invasive breast cancer (BC), CEACAM1 shifts from an apical to a uniform membranous/cytoplasmic pattern, or is lost, as tumors dedifferentiate, inversely tracking the Ki‐67 proliferative index. In MCF‐7 cells, only CEACAM1‐4L suppresses proliferation, repressing cell cycle and growth factor genes.

A Single-Line Single-Channel Method With Closed-Form Formulas for the Characterization of Dielectric Liquids

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 2019
This paper presents a method for the measurement of liquid permittivity without using liquid reference materials or calibration standards. The method uses a single transmission line and a single microfluidic channel which intercept the line twice. As a result, two transmission line segments are formed with channel sections to measure liquid samples. In

An improved single-line method for the wide-angle X-ray scattering profile analysis of polymers

Polymer, 1987
Abstract A modified single-line technique for determining separately the size and lattice distortion parameters of the crystalline regions by wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) of typical polymer materials is proposed. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated by model calculations.
