Nonlinear response of telecom-wavelength superconducting single-photon detectors

open access: yesAPL Quantum
We measure the nonlinearity of a telecom-wavelength superconducting nanowire single-photon detector via incoherent beam combination. At typical photon count rates and detector bias current, the observed relative deviation from a perfectly linear response

Artifact Removal in Long-Range Single Photon LiDAR via Waveforms-Guided Depth Image Estimation

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal
Single-photon light detection and ranging (LiDAR) has widespread applications due to the ultra-high sensitivity of the single-photon detector. However, the reconstruction has been plagued by multiple types of noise caused by crosstalk, dark counts, and ...

Monolithic Oxidation Enables Ultrathin Vertically Graded Tantalum Oxide for Low‐Voltage, Low‐Variability Memristive Switching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Monolithic UV‐ozone oxidation of Ta forms an ultrathin Ta2O5/TaOx bilayer enabling resistive switching with a vertical defect gradient. A stoichiometric surface layer over an oxygen‐deficient sublayer promotes localized filament nucleation near the top interface, enabling low‐voltage operation, and reduced cycle‐to‐cycle variability.

Two-Dimensional SPAD Imaging Camera for Photon Counting

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2010
Many demanding photonic applications require the acquisition of images at very low light-level conditions and at high speed. Advanced imagers available on the market are generally not able to provide both performances in one detector.

Tuning the Optoelectronic Properties of Wide Bandgap Perovskites: Data‐Driven Insights from Combinatorial Synthesis and High‐Throughput Experimentation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Combinatorial vapor deposition enables independent tuning of Cs/Pb and Br/Cl in wide‐bandgap perovskites. Automated multimodal mapping of 500+ compositions reveals a high‐energy optical transition that correlates with enhanced photoluminescence, defining a practical Cs/Pb window.

Simultaneous Enhancement of Performance and Stability in Dual‐Gate a‐IGZO Thin‐Film Transistors via Single‐Step Laser Annealing for Capacitor‐Less DRAM

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A single‐step laser annealing strategy is presented for dual‐gate a‐IGZO TFTs. The steep thermal gradient induces graded oxygen doping in the channel and simultaneous WOx removal at the contacts, enabling concurrent interface and contact engineering.

Single photon response of superconducting nanowire single photon detector

open access: yesChinese Science Bulletin, 2010
Single photon detection is one of the key technologies for quantum key distribution in quantum communication. As a novel single photon detection technology, superconducting nanowire single photon detector (SNSPD) surpasses conventional semiconducting single photon detectors with high count rate and low dark count rate.

Electrostatic Superlattices Beyond 1:1 Stoichiometry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer‐mediated charge regulation drives two hierarchical routes to higher‐stoichiometry nanoparticle superlattices. Tuning the polymer's molecular weight promotes progressive interstitial filling, transforming ZnS into the fully occupied CaF2${\rm CaF}_2$ lattice. Exchanging polymer assignment between large and small nanoparticles instead breaks CsCl
