Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Modification of Kalina cycle system 34g by replacing throttle valve with single-screw expander
Recovery of the energy loss caused by throttling plays an important role in improving the performance of a cycle. Based on the original Kalina cycle system 34g, two redesigned cycles, which have different placement of single-screw expanders used to replace the throttle valve, are proposed in this paper.

Comparison of moving boundary and finite-volume heat exchangers models in the Modelica language [PDF]
When modelling low capacity energy systems such as a small (5–150 kWel) organic Rankine cycle unit, the governing dynamics are mainly concentrated in the heat exchangers.
