Cephalopod‐inspired photonic microparticles with dynamic structural coloration are fabricated via confined self‐assembly of linear block copolymers into ellipsoids containing stacked lamellae. Embedded superparamagnetic nanoparticles enable rapid magnetic alignment, restoring vivid, angle‐dependent color.

Development of fibre-rich okara-based expanded snack via single screw extrusion
Okara is a by-product of the soymilk and tofu manufacturing industry. Recently, changes in lifestyle and eating patterns led to higher demands for snack foods produced via extrusion technology. Extruded products enriched with okara, which consists of high dietary fibre content, can increase the nutritional quality of extruded snacks with higher ...

Parallel 3D Bioprinting on SLIPS‐Microarrays
This work introduces the first truly parallel 3D bioprinting method, enabling both the simultaneous fabrication of hundreds of cell laden hydrogel 3D structures and their HTS in individual liquid compartments. By integrating Digital Light Processing (DLP) stereolithography with functional micropatterns, the platform decouples printing time from array ...

Organic rankine cycle with positive displacement expander and variable working fluid composition [PDF]
Organic Rankine Cycles are often used in the exploitation of low-temperature heat sources. The relatively small temperature differential available to these projects makes them particularly vulnerable to changing ambient conditions, especially if an air ...

Lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) remain central to energy storage but suffer from slow ion transport and degradation. Here, we present a binder‐free Ti3C2Tx MXene/GnR hybrid electrode with a porous 3D architecture formed via freeze casting. The structure enhances conductivity, ion transport, and stability, delivering 401 mAh/g, ∼97% efficiency, and 92 ...

CFD Approaches Applied To A Single-Screw Expander
Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems rely on the expander performance to generate power output in an efficient manner. Especially in the low power range (below 100 kWe), positive displacement (PD) expanders (e.g. scroll, twin-screw, reciprocating, vane, spool, etc.) result to be cost-effective.

Effect of air temperature variation on the performance of wet vapour organic rankine cycle systems [PDF]
A multi-variable optimization program has been developed to investigate the performance of Wet Organic Rankine Cycles (WORC) for generating power from low temperature liquid dominated brines.

Overdoping high temperature superconductors, such as YBa2Cu3O7‐δ (YBCO), is expected to maxime the critical current density by optimising the condensation energy for a given defect landscape, providing new thrust for the development of fusion enabling coated conductors. Here, precise oxygen control is achieved via an electrochemical method allowing for
