Fully discretized collocation methods for nonlinear singular Volterra integral equations
We consider a nonlinear weakly singular Volterra integral equation arising from a problem studied by Lighthill (1950) [1]. A series expansion for the solution is obtained and shown to be convergent in a neighbourhood of the origin. Owing to the singularity of the solution at the origin, the global convergence order of product integration and ...

One‐dimensional C4N2H14PbBr4 is shown to have a quasi‐direct electronic band structure and strongly anisotropic transport with polarized broadband emission. A GW/Bethe–Salpeter excited‐state force formalism, supported by polarized Raman and temperature‐dependent photoluminescence, identifies low–frequency Pb–Br phonons that drive ultrafast exciton self‐

Two-Grid Methods for Nonlinear Multi-Dimensional Weakly Singular Integral Equations
A two-grid iteration method for nonlinear multi-dimensional weakly singular integral equations is considered. The main result is a theorem about the convergence and the convergence rate of the studied method. The author proves for the nonlinear equation the same rate of convergence as for the linear equation.

An AI‐powered, robot‐assisted framework automatically produces, images, and analyzes 3D tumor spheroids to evaluate drug efficacy. Integrated modules handle spheroid formation, live/dead staining, brightfield imaging, and automated image analysis, including spheroid segmentation, viability and metrics to assess the drug treatment efficacy. The workflow

Nonlocomotory Robotic Strategies for Dynamic Rotation Control in Terrestrial Robots: A Review
Terrestrial robots increasingly require rapid body rotation to maintain stability and agility in complex environments. This review shows nonlocomotory rotational control strategies that operate without ground contact, including reaction wheels, tails, bars, limbs, and thrusters.

Echinoderm‐Inspired Autonomy for Soft‐Legged Robots
Inspired by echinoderms, a modular soft robot achieves autonomous phototaxis without a central controller or explicit communication. Each limb independently adapts its actuation timing through local sensing and short‐term memory. Coordination emerges purely from physical interactions, demonstrating resilience to changes in morphology, environment, and ...
