Three Dimensional Black Hole Coupled to the Born-Infeld Electrodynamics

open access: yes, 1999
A nonlinear charged version of the (2+1)-anti de Sitter black hole solution is derived. The source to the Einstein equations is a Born-Infeld electromagnetic field, which in the weak field limit becomes the (2+1)-Maxwell field. The obtained Einstein-Born-

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

On the numerical solution of the multidimensional singular integrals and integral equations, used in the theory of linear viscoelasticity

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1988
In the present report, we investigate the formulation, for the numerical evaluation of the multidimensional singular integrals and integral equations, used in the theory of linear viscoelasticity. Some simple formulas are given for the numerical solution

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Exact solutions and singularities in string theory [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1994
We construct two new classes of exact solutions to string theory which are not of the standard plane wave or gauged WZW type. Many of these solutions have curvature singularities. The first class includes the fundamental string solution, for which the string coupling vanishes near the singularity.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Uniqueness of a very singular solution to nonlinear degenerate parabolic equations with absorption for Dirichlet boundary condition

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
We prove the existence and uniqueness of singular solutions (fundamental solution, very singular solution, and large solution) of quasilinear parabolic equations with absorption for Dirichlet boundary condition. We also show the short time behavior of

Singularity Analysis for the Existing Closed-Form Solutions of the Hand-Eye Calibration

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
In this paper, a class of singular phenomenon is first found for the existing closed-form solutions of the hand-eye calibration problem with the form AiX = XBi when the angles corresponding to rotational parts of Ai and Bi are near or equal to π ...

Application of the Caputo-Fabrizio Fractional Derivative without Singular Kernel to Korteweg-de Vries-Burgers Equation∗

open access: yes, 2016
In order to bring a broader outlook on some unusual irregularities observed in wave motions and liquids' movements, we explore the possibility of extending the analysis of Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers equation with two perturbation's levels to the concepts ...

C2α‐carbanion‐protonating glutamate discloses tradeoffs between substrate accommodation and reaction rate in actinobacterial 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,
