Purpose: Selective internal radiation therapy (SIRT) can result in heterogeneous absorbed dose coverage. To address potential underdosing of lesions with SIRT, we designed a phase 1 clinical trial (NCT04518748) to add stereotactic body radiation therapy (

Abstract X‐ray phase contrast imaging (XPCI), when implemented in micro‐computed tomography (micro‐CT) mode, offers high‐contrast 3D imaging of weakly‐attenuating material samples. In the so‐called single‐mask edge illumination approach, a mask with periodically spaced transmitting apertures is used to split the x‐ray beam into narrow beamlets; when ...

E. coli Endotoxin Modulates the Expression of Sirtuin Proteins in PBMC in Humans
Background. Sirtuin (SIRT) proteins are class I histone deacetylases displaying gene regulatory functions in inflammatory, cancer, and metabolic diseases. These SIRT actions involve the nuclear factor κB and its inhibitor IκB pathway.

Consumption of a High-Fat Meal Alters Post-Prandial SIRT mRNA Expression in Blood Leukocytes [PDF]
Introduction. Sirtuins (SIRT) are protein deacetylases, hypothesized to regulate the transcription of various genes involved in the prevention of atherogenesis and diet induced obesity.
